jack avery and zach herron never got married or really called anything official since they hated relationship stuff like that. they were together and were perfectly fine. many years after the band broke up, they surrogated (if that's a word) their now seven year old daughter, jess, who happened to be nothing like them.

corbyn and christina, on the other hand, got married before the band broke up and had their son only three years after. but similarly, their 14 year old son, peter, wasn't really like them either. sure, he liked space and tried doing make up but, he hated cameras and being the center of attention. that fame stuff just wasn't for him.

jonah and daniel were engaged before the band broke up and adopted their daughter, sunny who is now 17, the day of the break up. but, their daughter was like them. unlike jack and zach and corbyn and christina, they had no blood connections but were on the same page all the time. it wasn't the same for their biological son, zachary, though. he was different and quite a challenge.

jess avery-herron was 7 years old and a nightmare. she needed to go to the mall daily, she couldn't wear the same clothes twice, and always argued with her dads. maybe if they actually knew how to discipline kids, she wouldn't be like this but it was too late. she was spoiled rotten.

the best way to put it was that peter besson was a loser. he was bullied and extremely awkward. his best friend is his parents, it doesn't get sadder than that. what's worse? he knew he was a loser and hated it.

sunny seavey was a genuinely happy, all-around nice person to know. she was class president and had a great relationship with her parents. she made it hard to hate her, she was a people-pleaser but not a kiss-up.

zachary frantzich was an angry teen. he didn't have pushover parents he could really argue with but, he argued to everyone else about everything. he tried to be an activist like his sister but, was honestly just annoying. but he didn't give a single fuck.
