One week later

"He doesn't want to be in Roadtrip anymore?" Oli says shocked as she bites into her burger. "Nope, that's why he's been so unhappy recently you see?" I say taking a chip. I drove down to meet Oli in Slough for some lunch in town and to keep her updated on everything that was happening. "Wow I'm surprised, he's usually such a cheery guy" "I know, that's why I'm worried about him. I don't know how much longer he can continue." Oli takes a sip of her drink and thinks for a minute. "Maybe treat him to something, surprise him with something for a day. Give him something to take his mind off it Em" I look up at her, it wasn't a bad idea. "I know that when he's stressed he likes to sit by this tree in the park" the same tree we sat by on my birthday. "Maybe I could surprise him with a picnic while he's on one of his runs." I say. "I know for a fact he'd love that Em!" Oli says taking my hand and practically dragging me out the restaurant after paying our bill. "Come on it's late you need to get home and surprise him"

When I finally make it home I set up a bunch of his favourite snacks and drinks and put them into a bag and then run upstairs to make sure I look presentable enough. Once I touch up my makeup I hop in my car and drive to the park. After around 5 minutes of driving I park right where I can see the tree and smile. There he was, but he wasn't alone. He was with a girl. I watch confused for a minute as he continued to talk to her. Who was she? And why was he with her? And then I watched as she kissed his cheek and I felt my whole world crashing down at my feet. My heart breaks into a thousand pieces as I pull out of my spot and drive away. Not comprehending what was going on, tears streaming down my face, feeling completely and utterly broken.

I immediately run up the stairs and into my room pulling out all of my belongings from drawers and cupboards and stuffing them all into suitcases. I couldn't stay here any longer. Not with him. I had to get out. Once I had packed all my stuff I ran back down the stairs, tears still streaming down my eyes. "Em? What's happening? Where are you going?" Andy says as I fly past him not looking back. I quickly throw everything in my car and get in the drivers seat. "Em!" Andy shouts running to my car and looking at me through the window. "What's wrong?" He says anxiously. "I'm sorry" I say shaking my head as I drive away, leaving him standing alone in the driveway.

"Em?" Oli says as she opens the door to her flat and pulls me into a hug as she sees the state of me. "Omg what happened? Jesus come in" she says helping me drag all my stuff inside. "Oli he cheated on me" I say through sobs and she gasps and shakes her head pulling me into another hug. "Can I stay here for a while?" I say holding her tightly. She nods and I feel safe again in the arms of my best friend.

I sit on the spare bed looking up at the ceiling not knowing how to feel, why would he do this to me? I hear a buzz come from my phone.

Mikey❤️: Baby where are you? I'm worried sick. Andy just called saying you ran out the house

I ignore it. He tries calling me. But I ignore it.

Tears stream down my eyes as I read the messages, I wanted to call him so bad. I wanted to hear his voice. I wanted to feel his arms around me. But he cheated, and he lied. I block his number and all of his socials, I never want to see his cheating face again.
