I stared down at my laptop, with a blank doc staring back at me. I knew I had to write a script, but I didn't know how, I had never done this before.
I lean back in my desk chair and stare at my white ceiling. Why had I agreed to do this? Oh yeah because Alix asked me to.
Even though I had no experience in theater, I had agreed to help her. We had been friends for many years and are very close, and try to be there for each other as much as possible.
I look back at my screen. The cursor tempts me to type something. But nothing appears on the page. I give up out of frustration and close my laptop. I get up and then fall onto my bed that hides in the corner of my kinda-messy room.
I pull out my phone from my pocket and text Alix if she can meet up tomorrow at the park. I wait for a response, but don't get one. Her phone probably died, she always forgets to charge it, a habit I try to teach her to get out of.
I sigh and decide to head downstairs to eat something. I peek outside of my room and notice my sister's room is closed still. I hope she's okay. She's been really quiet and hasn't been talking to basically anyone besides her boyfriend, Scott. It seems like she never comes out, Mom and Dad also seemed worried about her too.
I try to head down to the kitchen hoping I don't make too much noise for my little brother, who is hopefully sleeping.
I get to the kitchen and grab some strawberry ice cream and a spoon. I decided to check the living room, to see if my dad is in there. I turn around the corner and see the TV on a sports channel (showing some kind of football game highlights), and my dad fast asleep. I turn off the TV and quietly head back to my room.
I sat back down at my cluttered desk and moved my laptop to the side. I put the bowl of ice cream down and take my phone out again. I checked to see if she responded, 'sure'.
I smiled, and quickly tried to finish the ice cream without getting a brain freeze(I failed). And grabbed my laptop and went back to the Document.
I took a deep breath and started to type.
