Chapter 1 My Interview With the Legendary Outlaw Billy the Kid

I had just ran away from my mother and father and came here to the old west or as some people calls it the wild west I had got myself a place to a place called John Tunstall's store now it is time for me to get started looking for my old west hero and favorite outlaw the legendary outlaw William H. Bonney better known as Billy the Kid I set out looking for him before it got dark it didn't take me too long to find him I took a deep breath and said to myself alright Johnny Aaron Cade now is your big chance don't blow who knows he may ask you to be one of his regulators. I walked the door of the place where he and the regulators was spending the night when I walked in Billy and Chavez and Doc stood up and told me to come and sit at their table. I asked Billy what his mother Catherine McCarty was like. Billy: Johnny my mother was a very sweet and loving woman and she would dance an Irish dance and if she saw you would love you like you was her own son. I asked if it was true that he abused by his stepfather? Billy: yes Johnny it is true I was abused by my stepfather just like you was abused by your mother and father I looked at him. Billy: that is the reason why you ran away from your home in Oklahoma? I said yes that was why I ran away. he showed me the scars on his back and he told me that his stepfather had beat him with a whip on his 13th birthday and to make sure that he was going to die from it his stepfather took an army saber and cut him from his right shoulder to his left kidney. I told Billy that I was sorry to hear that. I asked him what had happened to his mother Billy: my mother died of tuberculosis and after she died my stepfather took my stepbrother Joe and left town for Arizona leaving me on the streets to fend for myself. I asked him if he was taken in by somebody Billy: I was taken in by Mr. John Tunstall he was like a father to me but sadly he was murdered right before my eyes. I asked Billy if that was when became an outlaw? Billy: yes that is when I became an outlaw in a war called the Lincoln County war. I became a legendary outlaw the news papers made me a legend before you ask Johnny I am on the run from sheriff Pat Garrett. I thought that Billy looks a lot like my friend Two Bit Mathews. Billy smiles at me and says welcome to the regulators Johnny Cade. this is my dream come true. this is the end of  my interview with Billy the Kid. my next chapter is my interview with Chavez
