I see Rod and Betty as Romeo and Juliet. They have very different backgrounds, their families will disapprove but they're still in love with each other no matter what. And y'all know what they say. A good guy likes a bad girl. They are also love flying around in their road vehicles.
Since Betty's one of the baddies, she might not admit she likes Rod. Especially since he is a cadet!
*the cadets are going to sleep*
Swift: Good night cadets.
Brody: Night!
Penny: Good night.
Swift: Rod?
Rod: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
Swift: Good night Rod. *goes to sleep along with the other cadets*
*1 hour later*
Rod: *wakes up and tip toes outside* Time to see Betty... *turns on a flashlight and heads to the jungle*
Betty: *is sitting on a rock*
Rod: *shines his flashlight at her* Hey Betty!
Betty: *flies down to him* You've finally got here.
Rod: Sorry. I had to wait until the cadets were asleep.
Betty: It's fine.
Rod: I don't think I could keep this from the cadets any longer..
Betty: And I don't think I could keep it from Baddy no longer.
Rod: Maybe we should just tell them.
Betty: Sure.
Rod: But what if they don't approve.. though..?
Betty: They probably won't approve. But that doesn't mean we can't still see each other.
Rod: Yeah...and I know for a fact... we're gunna be someday.
