Chapter 14

Alice's P.O.V

Why was I here?! I just wanted to be in the house this morning!. I didn't see Eve yet. It was 8 o'clock in the morning. I thought Eve was already here but I still didn't see her. She could walk to be here. Where was Eve? I saw so many boring faces in the school but the only one I wanted to see was Eve. Sometimes she doesn't go to school without telling me. I hoped she would appear in front of me as soon as possible. I was standing in front of the school gate waiting for Eve. 30 minutes before class started, I stood like a tree. My hands held some books. My mom sent me to school because today, Mr. Hans didn't feel very well so he couldn't send me to school.

It was a pale sky in the morning, and the rough clouds covered the sun. The light of the sun couldn't be seen today as the clouds started to fall the raindrops on the earth. The people of Haley High School ran into the buildings. It looked like the clouds started to cry. I stood there looking at the clouds. This morning wasn't happy like yesterday. From the color of the sky I could know that meant it was going to rain. A rainy day would be a great beginning for today.

Eve didn't appear yet so I'd decided to leave the school gate. I walked alone with my head was facing the brown ground. Maybe she wasn't coming. These words started to make me think that I'd be alone today. A long journey in school without her. I'm fine being alone as long as I have my own feet and arms. Both of us don't talk much in the class. We're introverts. We usually share secrets between us. She knows mine and I know hers. The raindrops touched my head. Without thinking in a second, I started running into the building. My cloth was almost wet. But it was a little wet.

I wore a white tshirt inside and the red flannel shirt. Black skinny jeans and black sneakers will always be my favorite things to wear at school. I don't wear makeup because it's wasting time. I don't straighten my hair. I don't like to dress up like a common girl. I have my own style. I love being me. I stopped walking and looked at my watch. The needles stopped past by eight. It was still 8 o'clock. Class would start at 8.30. I yawned, knowing that I would be alone today. I was scratching my head, knowing that it would be a boring day. I hate going to school. I walked lazily towards a way to my locker.

I saw a ginger haired boy who has freckles on his cheeks smoking passionately. The wrinkles of ashes at the end of the cigarette fell touching the floor. He looked like a non-organized person. How did I know? I could say it by looking at his appearance ; his messy hair, his unshaven beards and his yellow teeth caused by smoking. I covered my mouth because I didn't want to breathe the smokes. Ewww. He stood next to my locker. I would be fine if he wanted to smoke but not here!

"Oi leave my locker alone!. If you wanna smoke not here!" I told the boy whose name I didn't know while covering my mouth.

"Someone told me to do this, she gave me money," he said, leaving me. He walked away and passed by the people until I couldn't see him anymore.

Someone? She? What was her purpose?. I shook my head curiosity. I opened my locker and put some books into it. I hate this school. The people. The place. The environment. The teachers? Maybe. I actually do like school cuz I can learn many new things here but the people make me hate it! There are many types of people in this school. They're quite dangerous and weird. I only do care about myself because thinking of others is wasting time. How dare that boy to smoke here?. After this, I'd have a boring class. English class. Ergh... I just wanted to go home. I locked my locker quickly then heading to the class without a smile on my face. How could I be smiling when I was at school?! I wouldn't be happy here, its like a prison to me. The smoking boy just ruined my morning, if he ruined my morning it meant he ruined my whole day!
