Ever since that very night, it has been dreadful for Jungkook to get an adequate amount of rest. The boy that he saw that day was otherworldly beautiful, according to him. He chimed in his compliments to everyone around the castle. Burdening the ears of the King and his sister, Princess Hari with endless chatter about how brightly his eyes were shining, how he could see all the galaxies in them, if galaxies were a dark shade of maroon.

"Wait, maroon?" Hari questioned. "A dark shade of maroon?" She almost looked dumbfounded. How could that be a natural eye colour for anyone? Let alone, in their kingdom. Their kingdom is a substantial one for sure, but since the majority of the district lived there, most of the people were the underclass. Dark hair, dark eyes, dusky complexion - not to be stereotypical, but its hard to imagine anyone in the general public to have such foreign features.

Jungkook looked at her, as confused as her, "Yes, maroon. What's wrong with that shade? You're wearing it right now." Hari scoffed sarcastically at his reply, "No, no brother. it's a fine colour indeed, but as an ey-" "Right. Exactly. So kindly seal the gates of your unwanted opinions and let me talk abou-"
"Jeez, Jungkook! You don't get to talk to me like that?"
"Hey! You can't call me by my name like that, Hari!"
"Oh really? Really?!"

"ENOUGH! It's early in the morning, children!"

The king walked in bringing a halt to their squabble. The snapped his fingers and motioned the guards to leave them alone in the dining hall. The room fell quiet. The two siblings, in fear of what their father might do. He sat down in his ginormous throne of a chair and took a sip of mulberry wine. His eyes flicked to meet Jungkook's hesitant ones.

Stern voice and crystal clear pronunciation as he spoke, "Son."
Jungkook jolted at his sudden mention. Clearing his throat, "Y-yes your majes- Yes, father?"
The king leaned back, making himself comfortable as he picked up an apple slice.

"This.. boy, youre talking about, do you love him?"
"Wha- huh- S-sorry?" Jungkook's words stumbled.

The king chuckled at his son's flustered face, "Son, its your mother's death anniversary merely 3 nights post. As always, we'll be arranging a ball. If you truly like the boy so much, bring him over. We'll announce the Prince's engagement!" His hands elongated into a grand posture as he stood up. Grinning like an excited child as he walked his way towards the exit.

"But- father! What if he doesn't want to?"

The king stopped. Dramatically turning around at that ridiculous question, "doesn't want to? You're Prince Jungkook. My son! Who wouldn't want to?" He tearfully laughed out of the hall, leaving the siblings to process the current situation.

"So... youre getting married?" she asked, unable to understand fully. Jungkook just nodded, as flabbergasted as her, he took a sit, quit in his thoughts. She sat as well, taking a sip of water, she looked at her brother softly, "He..um, he is a good guy, right brother?"

Junkook glimpsed up with a slight smile parting his lips to speak but could only express a hum. She nudged him, trying to get a verbal response. He sighed, smiling with contentment,

"Yes, Hari. He is a good guy. I know it."

A pigeon on the windows bridge only squeaked at Jungkook's hilarious remark. He knows it, huh? So much trust for a guy he has only seen once in the forest?

A fool, it thought, as he flew away to its abode.
