Your name is Eridan Ampora, and to make things short; you think everyone is better off dead. Or at least thats what you say because you too wished death upon yourself.

You were the unlucky fella sliced in half by Kanaya's chainsaw, yep. That was you. Part of you blames yourself for it, but if it weren't for Sollux; who ever so bravely stood up to you, you wouldnt have killed Feferi, and Kanaya who came back to be the cause of your death.

How complicated. And as if there wasn't enough chaos already, here you were stitched up and all, sitting in a room full of people who probably hated you. Scratch that, definitely hated you. Have you seen the looks they shot you? So filled with fear, disgust and distrust. It makes your stomach twist and turn.

You were all seated in a wide circle, with Karkat standing in the middle probably preparing an awfully long speech after trolls and humans alike came to terms with the horror, or the joy that is; they were alive.

After what felt like forever, Karkat shooshes the crowd in an attempt to quieten the room's seemingly endless chatter.

Ah yes. Karkat wasn't Karkat if he couldn't swear.

He pauses. His face almost a grimace of some sort. Your eyebrows rise in confusion.

He turns to Dave, face wrinkled and all. And somehow, Dave shoots him a look of reassurance through his sunglasses.

You want what they have, but by now you've come to terms with the fact that you're too unbearable. And will be forever alone. You deserve to be.

Karkat turns to face everyone once more, taking a deep breath while he's at it, and begins speaking once more.

Everyone was silent, some wore expressions of uncertainty, others were blank. Probably lost in thought over this newfound abundance of freedom. Oh gog. Then there was Feferi, who looked like she was about to explode into a bunch of rainbows and soft, cuddly scalemates.

Gog, make it stop. You hated her smile. You hated how she was always happier than you, without you.

How was it so easy for her to forgive? This angered you. It almost felt fake. Did you even know what kindness felt like? You don't think you're going to get used to it anytime soon. Your silly little brain decides to overthink every scenario where everyone shuns you out.

And by the time you snap out of it, everyone is packing up to move into their rooms. Stacking up the chairs in this particular recreational room.

You get up and do the same.

Everyone walks out with a friend or two to chatter with.

You walk out alone, lightheaded.
