A desk in the back of a loud paper office was never what you wanted for your future. You've been working in the same place for three years. A seat in the back annex, which smells like expensive perfume and coffee. The perfume part was no doubt, from Kelly. And everyone in the Dunder Mifflin office drank coffee, although you preferred yours straight black, unlike most people. The office was usually boring, except for Jim's occasional pranks and Michael's shenanigans. So of course you didn't expect the loud clapping from the main part of the office while you were trying to write out an email.

Standing up from your desk, you rushed over to see an awkward, lanky guy clapping along, with two bags at his side. Instantly you knew that he must've been the Sabre representative, so you slowly started to clap along with the rest of your friends and acquaintances.

He looked bland, to be honest at first sight. Just a tall man with cute blue eyes, and a very awkward smile. Maybe he was a little cute. Definitely better than Michael or Andy. But you had to intentions of getting to know him any better, or getting close to him.

He'd been working in your office for a while now, you didn't know exactly how long, but it was long enough for you to get to know more about him. His name is Gabe Lewis, he loves horror movies, and he's forced to do a lot for Jo. He also might've made a few flirty comments here and there, but you were mostly just coworkers.

That is until the day you heard him trying to get a candy bar out of the vending machine. You sighed, and turned from your position at the reception desk to go to the break room. Just from the doorway, you could see the he was clearly struggling, trying to get his bar out.

You stepped up beside him and put money in the machine, getting a 3 Musketeers bar as well and pushing both of them down and out of the machine. He turned to you, his usual awkward smile plastered across his face.

"Thank you," he cleared his throat a little. "That was c-considerate of you." He wiped his clammy palms on his pants, and reached down to grab the bars, holding yours out to you.

You shook your head, finding a smile ease it's way onto your lips. "No thank you, Gabe." You turned away and started to walk out, your head still turned to him. "It's my treat, really. So.. See you around the office!" And with that you left, scolding yourself for being so blatantly awkward. It wasn't like you liked him or anything, he was just a weirdo who had a nice sense of culture.

Little did you know, as you walked away his face started to erupt in a shade of pink, his ears just as pink as the rest. He'd been watching you. Not in a creepy way. Maybe in a puppy dog-like way. He followed you around when he got the chance, getting to know you and your likes better. Occasionally, he'd lean beside you at the vending machines, talking to you and watching the way your eyes flicked between him and the food you were getting. It was entrancing to him. That wasn't creepy. Right?

Fuck. You landed face first into Gabe's chest, feeling the feathers of his Lady Gage outfit on your cheeks. It was the Halloween party, and you just happened to trip over a small pumpkin decoration as you went to get a snack. And of course Gabe was there to catch you. With his chest.

You quickly pulled away, your face bright red. A small chuckle came from the other side of the room, obviously from Andy. "I'm-- oh my God I'm sorry Gabe. Oh God.. There's lipstick on your outfit-,"

He just waved it off, wiping the lipstick with his thumb, although it definitely just smudged it in. "It's fine- is your nose okay? It uh, hit me pretty hard." If he was being honest, it hurt a lot to have your nose rammed into his chest. But he was glad to have caught you. Because gosh you were his new obsession. In a definitely not creepy way. You were just- so cute.

"I'm fine, I am. Sorry about that, Lady Gaga," You chuckled awkwardly, looking up at him with a smile. Oh God was he cute. You'd came to be closer with him, closer than you ever expected to be.

He smiled wider, his ears becoming pink once again. "Thank God you noticed, I was getting tired of being called Katy Perry," He sighed. "You look.. Good. Yeah."

You looked down at your costume. You were dressed as a sugar skull, pink and green skeleton designs littered your outfit. "Thank you, Gabe. That's really sweet of you," You paused, before continuing. "I'm just, going to be honest about this. You've uh, caught my eye for a while now, and I was wondering if we could go out. It's okay if not. I know that you're my boss and all..I just. Had to let you know that." You started to turn away, before you felt a big, but boney hand on your shoulder.

"I-I'd love to- oh God thank you-" He was clearly awkward, but it was cute. He wiped his palms on his pants anxiously. His anxiety was through the roof, but you promised yourself that you would try to ease that anxiety.

You couldn't wait for your date.
