For the first time in forever, I was actually excited for school. Isabella said she was running late, but would be at school soon.

When I told her what Austin had told me, she freaked out just as much as I did. Austin and I texted all night, but I wasn't really tired the next day.

Upon entering the school, I saw Austin and his friends. Once we locked eyes, I sent a wave and began walking to Isabella and I's usual meeting place. While walking past, I heard his friends start to tease him.

A few moments later, the brown haired boy joined me. "Good morning." He beams as we walked. "Morning." I smiled. "Did you get any sleep?" He asks as we approached the spot.

"I got a few hours, you?" I asked. "Yeah, same. Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie or something this weekend?" He asks.

"I would love to, but small problem. My dad once told me that I have to have a chaperone on my first date, and it's probably going to be Isabella." I sighed. "It's cool, I can bring one of my friends and it could be like a double date." He shrugs. "Yeah, that sounds cool. I'll tell my mom tonight, but I'm switching houses Sunday to be with my dad." I told him as we sat down on a bench under the tree. "So does Saturday work? We can text later about what movie we wanna see." Austin replies.

"Yeah, sounds good." I agreed as I saw Isabella approach. "Well, I should get back to the guys. I'll text you later." He smiled before standing up and making his way back to his friends. Isabella waves as he passed before sitting down next to me.

"What was that about?" She asks. "He asked me to the movies this weekend, and I told him my dad's making me have someone with me. So, I suggested you and he said he'll bring a friend." I smiled. Her smile widens as she looks over at his friends.

"I hope it's Connor." She blushes. "I'll tell him." I pulled my phone out as I saw Connor walk away from the group to get a drink. Quickly texting him, I told him she's down.

He pulls his phone out of his pocket as soon as I hit send. As he reads it, Isabella and I watch him read the message. He looks up at me with his blue eyes with a smirk evident on his face. Nodding, he turns to Connor, who had joined the group again. "Pretend you're not paying attention." Isabella looks down at her phone.

Laughing, I looked over at her. "It's whatever, we still have to ask our parents." I laughed, leaning back on the bench, clutching my bag to my chest. "Is it bad I'm nervous?" I asked Isabella, mainly because she's been on her first date already.

"No, I was nervous on mine too." She nods, glancing at the boys.

"So? How was everyone's day at school?" My mom asks later that night at dinner. We were eating earlier, because I had dance rehearsal later than usual and my mom didn't want us starving.

"Pretty good. Oh, can Delilah come over tomorrow?" Noah asks. Delilah was his girlfriend, and they were honestly cute together. He drives her to school, along with me sometimes.

"Sure. Angel?" She encourages me to tell her about my day. "I got asked out today." I softly mumbled. The whole table went wild. "Who? I'll beat his ah-." Noah starts, but mom cuts him off. "Leave her alone, Noah. She never did that to you when you and Delilah got together. What's his name?" She exclaims.

"Austin." I blushed. Sabrina giggled beside me. "She stays up all night texting him." She teases. "Shut up, Sabrina. But anyways, I told him that I had to have a chaperone on my first date, which dad told me, and he's okay with me bringing Isabella." I told them, twirling some pasta on my fork.

"What's her mom say about it?" Mom asks. "Not sure, I'll ask at Dance later." I replied.

"So? Can I go?" I asked, aware that she might shut it down. "I'm okay with it, but remember you're going to your fathers on Sunday." She nods. "I know, we planned on Saturday night." I nod.

After dinner, I went upstairs and changed into some nicer clothes for dance practice. Throwing my sweatpants on with my Nike's and a AC/DC shirt on, I pulled my hair into a messy ponytail and grabbed my bag that had all my essentials.

"Angel! Time to go!" My mom calls. Grabbing my phone, I ran downstairs and towards where I left my water bottle. "Aight! I'm ready!" I called out, jogging to the front door where she was waiting for me.

"Hey, guys." I greeted my team as I walked into practice. Isabella looks up from her spot on the ground as she stretches. "Hey, Angel." They all chorused.

Setting my bag down, I joined them in stretching on the ground in the warm up area and joining the conversation. Stretching my legs out, I leaned over and reached for my toes.

"I overheard Mrs Jen say we might be able to go to some competitions this year." Harper tells the group. "For real?" I asked. Over the years, we've been to many competitions, but we've never gotten first place. Last year we had to forfeit the competitions because Mrs Jen left on maternity leave.

Glancing over to Mrs Jen's office, I saw her on the phone while writing information down. "I think she's gonna be there awhile." Bethany sighs. "Should we just warm up on our own so she has less to do?" Isabella asks. "Yeah, probably a good idea."

We all stood up after stretching and moved our things to the large room we practiced our routines on.

"Angel, you lead the warm up." Lynn says. "Why me?" I laughed, setting my bag down and checking my phone briefly. Austin had sent me a couple messages, but I didn't have enough time to answer them.

"You haven't done it in awhile." Beth shrugs. Dropping my phone in my bag, I made my way to the front of the group. "Alright, warm up number 3." I called out, starting the music.
