"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." - Roald Dahl

In an endless forest filled with towering trees the colors of emerald that seemed to kiss the sky and beds of lilac flowers dancing along grassy patches throughout, there stood a home built from the strongest oak of the forest.

It sat peacefully within a circle of trees which surrounded it protectively, making it nearly invisible to be spotted from a distance. Not that it would matter, the forest had a way of keeping travelers away from the home, leading them astray and keeping the house hidden.

You see, the forest had a kinship with the inhabitant of the cottage, they shared a mutual respect for each other. The forest knew the truth about the boy in the cottage and vowed to do it's part in protecting him. The trees whispered his name and the flowers bowed before him graciously. Even the wind, so ruthless and strong, was his humble servant.

And from the moment he was born, the forest had been his only ally in the world.

If there was one thing Beckett Holloway was, it was a secret. His life, his birth, his existence was meant to be hidden. Deep in the woods, he'd lived twenty years in solitude.

He was a beautiful boy, with hair the color of ravens and eyes so piercingly blue that even the skies envied the color.  The boy was so enchantingly beautiful that it was a shame no one got to see him.

But then, that was a part of it. A part of his secret. His beauty was not the kind that any mortal could possess, nor were his talents, as he referred to them as.

His ability to make a flower bloom overnight, or his way of calling forth the rain when the plants cried of thirst. Beckett was made up of peculiarities that were never to be explained. His existence was not only secret, it was forbidden.
