The Amur leopard,
skinned for its spotted fur,
people tracing the edge of forest lines
throughout Russia's borders
and along a wall-less China for a few dollars,
honest work they think,
as they strip a father from his kin,
cubs torn from mothers and siblings,
a call of protest unheard of,
as hunters await for cubs to mature into lengthy sized creatures,
perfect in size to be sold.Sold to make boots,
and rugs,
all essentials for humankind.
