"Ok you were right" I said slumping in my chair at lunch sipping on my coke from chick-fil-a. I had sunglasses on due to the sensitivity to light.

"About what?"Aria played dumb.

"You know what"

"But I wanna hear you say it"

"Say what?" I joked.

"You know what"

"Do I?"

"Say it"

"You already know"

"I wanna hear you say it"

"But I don't want to say it"

"Say it"

"Ugh Fine ihaveaconcussion" I said fastly.

"What was that?"

"I have a concussion"

"What about football?" Maverick asked just coming into the conversation.

"I have to sit out for two weeks"

"Will you be back by the rival game?"

"If I can pass the test by then yes"

"Hey everybody, please take your seats, class will begin soon," Mr. Jenkins said. "Adrien why are you wearing sunglasses in my class?"

"I have a concussion and the light gives me a headache" I explained.

"Understood, I'm sorry to hear that"

"It's fine" I slumped in my seat and put my head to the desk.

Mr. Jenkins is the life skills teacher. We get him for four weeks this year. Two weeks at the beginning of the year and two weeks at the end. "Since this is taking the place of your English class there will be a paper due at the end of the two weeks"

The class groaned.

"If it was up to me there would be no paper, trust me. Mrs. Rowe suggested it to Principal Myers and we all know how that ends."

The class laughed. Mrs. Rowe and Principal Myers are brother and sister. Principal Myers is her older brother and she always gets what she wants.

"So what are we doing that you want us to do?" Noah asked.

"Excellent question" he said, grabbing a stack of papers from his desk. "Take one pass it back"

"Living on your own" Kelly reads out loud.

"Correct Kelly. You are going to be living on your own."

"Getting a job" Samuel read off the list.

"Paying rent" Mary read.

"Creating a budget" Aria read.

"Grocery shopping" Damien read

"These are only some of the life skills you need for the future. So your project these next two weeks other than the paper is living on your own."

"How will we do all this?" Mary asked.

"Another great question. we will be using Monopoly money. Everything will go through me. I will be your banker, cashier, boss and landlord. You will pay me six hundred dollars for rent each week. You will work for me and I will pay you. You will create your own budget on what you think is best for you. You will go shopping in my class and I will be your cashier."

"Can we take loans if needed?" Luke asked.

"Yes luke"

"Will each person get a different amount of money based on their job?" Leo asked.
