Daniel and Charlie walked home together, by together, I mean Charlie followed Daniel home, he wouldn't of minded much besides the fact that everyone in the town thought his mother was looking after him, he had to come up with an excuse to make her leave without offending, upsetting, or disappointing her nor making her think that she was by wanted.

Since he was terrible at he was very bad a social skills, this was his excuse. "My house is stupid with dead cats in it." She looked at him awkwardly and then started to laugh at his dumb excuse.

"Fine, but only if you teach me how to use a bow." She says shaking her head chuckling to herself. Daniel thought or a while and then came to a conclusion.

"Deal, only one condition, 10 gold coins per hour." Charlie hesitated for a little while she then nodded making her decision and laughed.

"Greedy guts, your mum won't be to happy with you." Just then Daniel went into a trace, a trance of grief and despair, he thought about what his mum would say, his eyes grew teary. "Are you okay? Why are you crying?"

Daniel whipped away his tears, "Nothing, let start training!"

He grabbed his bow off his back and handed it to Charlie.

"First hour free"

After about 25 minutes, Charlie knew all the parts of the bow and arrow, an how to aim/shoot one.

"This is so boring! Can I shoot something already?"

"Well, I guess so, but -. What the hell? How..how, did you do that" Daniel was staring at the tree, and what he saw was incredible, Charlie had shot an arrow straight though the tree.

"Wow, that was fun! Can I please try again?" Daniel just shared in shock, then nodded.

This time, Charlie grabbed 3 arrows and placed them on the string of the bow. She gracefully pulled the string back, held her breathe, and shot at another tree.

This time, the arrows overlapped each other and pieced though each after the other, 3 arrows, 2 spilt in half.

"A-a-are you a w-w-witch?" She looked at him funny.

"Why, is this impressive?" Daniel's mouth dropped.

"It took me 3 years to learn that! Somehow you managed to so that on your second try of ever shooting a bow!"

Charlie shrugged, " Well, maybe you just suck." Daniel grew mad, about to unleash his rage with violent words he came up with an idea.

"I'll teach you special techniques my father taught me, if, you give me the prize money for the tournament, it's not like I won't win, but it's just a back up plan, you know?

"Ok, I guess your ok, but, what are these 'special techniques?" Daniel went into detail about the fire arrows and the ice arrows and all about the 2x distance shot an many, many more!"

When Charlie went back, it was already night, the moon shining like a sky diamond, among the clouds, Daniel imagined what it would be like, to be a cloud not caring about anyone or anything.

"Well time for dinner" he announced as he went inside to cook some left over venison.
