Chapter Five

My eyes flutter open to see the sunlight shimmering through the white curtains of our hotel room. In the distance, I see the Eifel Tower stand tall in the clear, rose pink sky. I feel Johnny's arms wrapped around my waist tightly. I sigh. I can't believe this is real.

I feel him move and start to awake. His shirtless chest presses into my back. He brings his lips to my neck and starts placing light kisses on my skin. I hum in response and slowly turn over to straddle his waist, leaning down and placing a proper kiss on his soft lips. He kisses me back, passionately, and I melt inside. He tastes sweet. I moan slightly as he kisses me hard one last time before breaking apart. I open my eyes to find him staring at me, love radiating from his gaze.

"Mhm. Morning love," he says, almost a whisper.

I smile at him. "Morning," I say.

"Quite a way to start the morning," he smirks.

I laugh softly. "I never thought I'd love someone more than coffee in the morning."

His eyes widen. "You love me more than coffee?" he asks.

"Of course I do, you dummy." I run my fingers through his chestnut hair. "It's okay if you don't love me more than coffee—"

He cuts me off by kissing me deeply again. "I never said I didn't." He smiles at me sweetly. "I do, by the way."

I feel a warmth make its way up my cheeks. I'm sure I'm blushing. I avert his gaze as I do. I sigh and look out the window, the pink sky giving way to a clear blue day. "What did I do to have you in Paris?"

"Easy, you're you."

I laugh. "Oh come on, now you're just being cheesy."

He gently tilts my chin, so I look back down at him. "I'm serious. You deserve the world. And I'm prepared to give that to you if you let me."

I smile and hold up the rose gold ring on my finger. "I'm marrying you, aren't I?"

He smiles back and starts to run his fingers under the hem of my lavender silk top. His touch feels warm against my body, sending tingles across my bare skin. "God. You're so beautiful. I love you."

"I love you too." I start to place kisses on his neck gently before leaning up and looking in his eyes. "Wait, does this mean we can't have coffee?"

"Absolutely not." He kisses along my jaw lightly. "It just means we finish this first."

"I like that."

He smirks, "Yeah?"

I nod, "Yeah." I lean down and kiss his pink lips again. He kisses back and starts to let his hands wander my body. I rest mine on the sides of his face and pull him closer to me. I feel him squeeze my thigh, and I gasp slightly, opening my mouth for him to explore with his tongue. He kisses me deeper, and I sigh into the kiss.

Suddenly, we hear a knock at the door. I start to pull away from Johnny slowly, but he won't let me. "It's the guys...they'll leave...ignore it...please," he says between kisses. I hum in response and let myself get lost in his taste again.

"Guys, we know you're in there!" Mark yells from outside.

Johnny hesitantly pulls away and groans, tilting his head back in frustration. I giggle slightly. "You're seriously laughing right now?" he asks.

I smile. "Go. See what they want. I'll still be here when you get back."

He kisses me again. "Promise?"

"Promise." I kiss him again, hard. "Now, go." I slowly roll off him. He groans again dramatically and gets up. I smirk and smack his ass. "You're so dramatic."

He turns back and looks at me, "You love me."

"Mhm," I nod.
