A/n: my hippie neighbour is playing slow music so sorry if these get sad
HARRY
__You stared at the test in your trembling hands. You couldn't fault it, there were two lines- as pink as pink can be. You dropped it on the floor with the other three positive tests and flushed, washed your hands (you ain't no detty pig) and opened the bathroom door by a crack.
Hermione was outside, a concerned expression on her face once she saw the obvious sickly look to yours.
"Any news?" She asked calmly.
You felt a tear run down your face."Positive."
Hermione opened the door fully and took you into her arms. You felt some of the distress leave your body as she did so, but you couldn't stop the tears from pouring out now.
"Shhh," Hermione said, rubbing your back, "it'll be okay."
"I can't get rid of it," you choked out.
"You won't have to," she replied, "no matter what Harry will say, it's up to you."
You dreaded telling him.It had been merely a couple of months since the Battle of Hogwarts and eveyone was pretty frazzled. You had remained at school to graduate with Hermione, but it was clear that the weeks you had spent with Harry after the death of many of your great friends and returning to school had been more eventful than you thought.
You left the girls' bathroom with the tests clutched in your hand. Hermione said that it would be best to get it off your chest as soon as possible, so you sent one- along with a short but heartfelt note- off to Harry with an owl.
There was no turning back now.***
The following weekend you found yourselves at Hogsmeade, browsing sweets at Honeydukes as you had done in your early teens when everything was more simple.
You hadn't heard from Harry yet, but it was common for owls to take a break on their travels, so you tried not to worry yourself too much.
You broke away from Hermione as she went to pay for a stack of Chocolate Frogs (pregnancy cravings) when you felt a tap on your shoulder.
You turned at once to see Harry. He looked tired, and his hair was even more messy than it was regularly.
You face crumpled when you saw him and you fell into his arms. A few confused third-years turned to look at you, so Harry gently led you outside to the nearest bench for some privacy."H...Harry," was all you could stutter out.
Harry rocked you back and forth in his arms as you sobbed for what felt like hours, but lasted barely ten minutes.
Once you had calmed down, Harry lifted your head up and planted a kiss on your lips, despite the snot which stained your face.
"We're having a baby, y/n." he said lightly, a smile on his face.
This took you by surprise.
"Y...you're not angry?"
"Of course not. We're young, but Voldemort is gone and I love you more than anything," he said, "besides, it takes two to tango."
You laughed quietly and took his hand in yours.
The two of you sat in silence for a while, before you spoke, "Our child is not driving an enchanted car to Hogwarts, or having that map of yours, however."
Harry grinned, "I can't be sure of that."RON
__
You often took strolls around Diagon Alley when your husband, Ron, was off work. The two of you particularly liked going in August to see all the new Hogwarts students buying their gear for school.
You sat in cafe gardens, dreaming of the day that you took your little one to buy their first wand, their first robe, their first owl. You hadn't had the greatest relationship with your father, and your mother had died when you were too small to remember her, but you always wanted children. You were glad when Ron, despite growing up with many siblings, had the same idea. But it never seemed to happen. Your friends; Harry, Ginny, Hermione, had all had kids, multiple kids for that matter. But you and Ron had no luck.
You remained hopeful and continued trying for years, pushing the thought behind you somewhat. But your dreams began to dwindle when Harry and Ginny were already seeing their second son off to Hogwarts, and you hadn't even had a baby yet. Sometimes you cried at night once Ron was asleep, wondering whether your body just didn't work, and that it was your fault you couldn't give Ron the family he wanted.
He was an incredible uncle, especially to Lily, and you wished you could see him with his own mini-you or mini- him.
