Carla's Life

Chapter 4

Marla tells me that Justin only bullies me because he has had a huge crush on me since forever, I sit there with a dropped jaw, I was so surprised, I don't know what to do. Marla keeps on yelling my name, but I'm lost in thoughts, I finally regain myself and speak "you can't be serious Marla" I say. "I can't be lying either" she says. I then begin to think about all he has done to me. He's a hottie and he's cute and all, but I never even thought that he looked at me in any other way than hatred. I'm still trying to look for words because I'm absolutely speechless. Marla then says "Carla I totally think you should call him", "Noooooooo way", I say to her, "you know I'm extremely shy". She then says I should send him a text instead, I then pick up my phone and get his number from Marla then I quickly go into my WhatsApp, I see he's online and I start to text him.
(C for Carla and J for Justin)
C: Hi Justin it's Carla
J: Carla, what do you want?
C: Hey, drop the act, I know you like me.
J: Oh, you know, let me guess Marla told you right?
C: Well, duh?
J: No need to be rude about it.
C: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude.
J: I'm only joking, it's fine.
C: But why do you always bully me, if you like me?
J: I'm sorry, I didn't know how to tell you.
C: So bullying me helped you how?
J: It didn't, I'm sorry, please forgive me, I just want you to know that I'm madly in love with you
C: Ok I forgive you and wow
J: What's wow?
C: I'm surprised at how in love you are with me, I'll have to think about it
J: it's fine, can we hangout tomorrow?
C: Sure, Bye
J: Bye Babe

I look and see that he lastly said Bye Babe, I start to feel butterflies in my stomach, I don't even know if that makes me happy or sad, honestly.
Marla sits there grinning,  she then turns it into a smile, she then speaks "I'm so Happy for you Bestie, if he  asks you out, make sure you say yes"
I then reply " Marla, I have to think about it" she then interrupts" No you don't" we both laugh and change the topic. Marla then receives a call, I start to wonder who's calling her by that time, because it was four thirty o'clock in the morning. She then picks the call and says, Hey Baby, the smile on my face fades away, I then softly say,"who is that that she's calling Baby"? They talk for about an hour while I'm on my phone chatting with my mum and dad. She then says Bye to whoever she was talking to, I say Bye to my mum and dad too, I look at her so strangely that she tells me without me even having to speak" Ok so, that was my boyfriend, Zed, I didn't tell you because I just wanted the night to be about you and Justin, we only started dating yesterday, ( which was Friday) I promise I was going to tell you as soon as we woke up later today", I frown  to make her think I'm angry and turn my frown upside down, making it a smile, I tell her how Happy I am for her and that I was grateful for making me feel special but she would have told me about her Boyfriend. We then hug and say in unison " thanks for being my Best Friend" we both laugh and pick our phones up again. Marla is on Snapchat and so am I, we then converse on some things we had seen on Snapchat. She then falls asleep with her phone in her hand, I laugh and pick it up and put it on the charger, I see that it's seven o'clock in the morning and I haven't slept, so I quickly put my phone to charge too and think about Justin for about three minutes, before I finally fall asleep.
