Chapter 1 - Feelings

I like putting opinions in my writing. Caution, opinions throughout the whole book 😂.

Months earlier...

BEEP BEEP BEEP (I swear it always starts with an alarm clock)

I look over to my alarm clock... 7:30 Monday.
Here we go again, another day at UA. It's actually a pretty good school. Well duh, it's the top hero school in the country! It's just I get teased by my old childhood friend. I still try to be happy though.

(Ooft with the angst already (;'༎ຶٹ༎ຶ')

"Izuku, honey come downstairs and get some breakfast." Mum calls out.

I still haven't switched my alarm off and it was starting to give me a headache.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I turn the alarm off and went into my wardrobe to get my uniform for school. I was still thinking about Kacchan bullying me... I was used to coming home with bruises and sometimes even burns!

I went into the bathroom connected to my bedroom. One look in the mirror made me flinch. I had dark bags under my eyes.

*sigh*

I got out my concealer and start to apply it under my eyes.

I really need to fill up on the concealer it's running out quickly.

I constantly have to do this. It's normal for me now. I don't usually get much sleep so I always have bags under my eyes. And I don't need more people worrying about me. Uraraka, Iida and mum already worry about me too much. With having these nightmares and all...

Now where's my hairbrush?

In all honesty I don't know why I even bother trying to brush my hair. It's impossible! It just ends up in a big green fluff ball. (Same, curly hair is tough)

Once I finish my essentials I go downstairs towards the kitchen to grab some toast. I start packing my bags with supplies for the school day. It's been a few months since I started at UA and it's been pretty awesome! It's had it's downsides, but I've made a bunch of new friends and... maybe I-I uh... I gotta crush? Maybe a little crush... just a little one. Yep definitely tiny! Who am I kidding?! It's a huge one!

I take my bag and go to find my mum, so I can say goodbye.

"Hey mum, where are you?!" I shout.

"In the study, darling!" Mum responds.

I went into the study to see my mother looking at one of the old family photos containing Hisashi, herself and I. I cringe at the thought of my father.

"Mum? Umm... well, I just came to say goodbye. I... uh I'm going to school now." I cautiously say.

"Oh, alright Izu. I hope you have a nice day and I'll see you tonight." Mum answers.

"Okay, bye Mum!" I gave her a peck on the cheek and left the house.

~ Time Skip ~ (The past tense is killing me metaphorically.)

Quick! I'm going to be late to class! And it's a Monday uhhh! What a bad way to start the week! Mr Aizawa is going to be so mad!

I just get so caught up thinking about my father... *shiver*. My father is a terrible man! He left mum and I after I turned thirteen. Because... well something awful happened. I don't really want to think about it. My nightmares are starting to come back because of the thought of him...

DING DING DING

Oh no! There's the first bell! Everyone's probably in class by now! I'm going to be in so much trouble! What will Mr Aizawa think of me?! What will my classmates think of me?! Let alone All Might! What if I get expelled?! Oh no, oh no, oh no! WORSE! What if All Might doesn't think I'm still worthy of his quirk! What if he takes it away! I'll be useless again! Just like Kacchan says! Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no.

"Hey Midoriya, right? Umm... are you okay?" An unknown person says.

"Midoriya? Hello?!" They say waving their hands in front of my face.

"MIDORIYA RESPOND TO ME!" Finally catching my attention.

I slowly look up from the ground to be met with none other than... Todoroki Shoto.

He's definitely the most attractive in Class 1A and probably the whole year. Wait... no, the whole school! Tons of people have crushes on him, well I think... I don't know. But they probably do. I reckon Yaoyorozu has eyes on him... and she's like the best looking girl! They'd be perfect for each other! And they're both smart and have fantastic quirks!

"*cough*, *cough*" Oh right Todoroki's in front of me... WAIT! Did I say that all out loud?!

My hands clamp over my mouth and my eyes widen in shock. He looks so angry! I have no idea where it came from, but I let out a faint whimper. His eyes soften when he sees that I was scared. He almost looks concerned. I don't know what has gotten into me today?!

(Only dogs whimper you dumbass *internally yells at myself*)

Why did I even think all of that stuff?!

Todoroki put his right hand on my shoulder. Mind you it was freezing!

"Hey Mido, I'm not mad at you and I don't have a problem with you thinking I'm attractive. I actually feel kind of glad to have an admirer like you..." Todoroki rambles. While I am paying no attention to the new nickname. "Also I only yelled because I am worried you will get in trouble for being late. So I kind of had to hurry you along." He whispers with a gentle smile.

(To be honest, I feel as though I'd be better at writing in third point of view)

At this point I'm not scared anymore I totally understand why he did what he did. Honestly I would've done the same for someone else.

There's only one thing that has me bothered. His smile. The time that I've grown to know him, which isn't very long. He hasn't smiled once!

I already knew not to trust my words, so I simply nod in response.

Then we were off to class...

*gulp* We're going to be in so much trouble!

I'm not going to use Japanese Honorific's because I also don't know how to use them. Also I added some people to Class 1A, but I'll get to that in the next chapter. (Which I totally and utterly regret because now it's just boom bow wow)

Anyway chapters might have some past tense in them because apparently my speciality is either writing things that haven't happened yet or happened already. Present tense is just not my thing I guess? I'll try correct everything point out if there's any mistakes.
