Draco and Hermione glare at each other, wands drawn, their eyes ablaze with hatred.
"You're the one who wanted me to get him back!" Draco snarls, his wand gripped in his right hand, his knuckles going white from the amount of pressure he applies on it. Hermione flinches, raising her own wand at Draco.
"That's changed." Hermione snaps, suddenly falling silent, her wand aimed threateningly at Draco. Neither say a word, until Draco shouts out when he's flung upside down and held by his ankles.
"Put me down!" He shouts angrily, his voice gravelly, gripping his wand tightly.
"Like hell I would." Hermione sneers, something in her stance different, and something in her eyes off. Something was wrong. Very, extremely wrong.
A month Earlier
Draco had texted Hermione to meet him almost an hour ago, and she still hadn't turned up. The message had been read, however, Hermione Granger was no-where to be seen. Draco sighs, running a hand through his hair and messing it up a little.
"Where the hell are you?" He mutters. He scowls at the wall in front of him, pissed off. Hermione should be the one marked as bloody missing. Not Harry. At least he was going to meet Draco. His scowl disappears instantly. Harry, thats right, he was going to meet him at a cafe called 'Choco Cafe' or something similar. Draco couldn't exactly remember the name, he'd have to check the text he sent Harry again. It was going to be on a Thursday in the next week, at 10am, exactly when it opened.
Draco grins happily. He felt like that piece of dignity he'd lost when Harry had rejected him in first year was slowly repairing itself. If he and Harry became good friends, he just might agree to come back to Surrey.
Then there was a little problem that might hinder things. Harry didn't remember anything. Draco frowns.
"Sorry I'm late!" An out of breath Hermione exlaims, leaning down on her knees and looking like she'd just run here. Draco raises his eyebrows. She puts up a hand holding up finger, telling him to give her a second.
She takes a few deep breaths and pulls out the chair opposite Draco, collapsing into it.
"I..." She trails off, still breathing heavily. "There was someone with a time turner at the Minestry. They've been banned did you know. It took a tad bit longer to deal with than expected." She explains, and Draco nods. Being Minster for maic would have been a busy job, he couldn't imagine being in that position.
"Makes sense." He says, while she continues to catch her breath, finally calming a little.
"What did you want to meet about?" She questions, looking up at him and raising her hand to call someone over so she can order.
"Oh..." Draco hesitates, trying to figure out how to word it.
"What can I get you?" A waiter asks them, holding his notebook out.
"A lemonade and an apple pie please." Hermione says, smiling politely at the waiter.
"And for you sir?" The waiter asks, turning to Draco and scribbling down Hermiones order.
"Just a water please." Draco nods, and the waiter scribbles that down as well, before turning and walking over quickly to the front table.
"So?" Hermione turns back to Draco, her gaze resting on him softly, making him blush.
"Well, theres a slight issue... with bringing Harry back..." Draco looks away and Hermione leans forward in her seat.
"What?! What do you mean issue?! Is something wrong?!" She asks, her voice rising an octave. Draco is unable to meet her gaze.
