{Lainee's Pov.}

I didn't want this move at all. My dad had stayed in Arizona but me and my mom had to move to Los Angeles, California for her new job as a photographer which also means she wouldn't be home a lot. I didn't have that many friends back in Arizona but I had enough for my taste. The upside to this was that I hadn't been to the beach a lot before so that'd be fun I guess. There was also really good school and very nice views. But I still miss the sweet dessert view.

"Hey honey?" My mom yelled.

"Yea mom?" I ran down the stairs to the living room where my mom was scanning the room to look for a place to put her new couch. The company she's going to be working her gave her a whole cluster of "welcoming gifts".

"Can you.." She trailed off probably thinking about what she was going to ask me to do. She does this a lot. She calls me begins asking me something and then rethinks and overthinks. Eventually she'll remember and apologize she forgot. Used to it.

"Oh!" Here we go.

"Could you help me move my desk over to this corner?" She pointed and then stood there mumbling something and making hand gestures. My moms just a little bit of something else.

With a sigh, "Sure mom." I slightly leaned inward and held the desk there waiting for my mom to catch on. She finally grabbed under the desk and held it then gestured for me to move backwards. We, soon enough, got the desk in place and that was the only thing she told me to move.

"You can go now." She smiled, shooing me away.

"I'll be outside." I said as I walked out the door. She didn't even respond all I heard was mumbling. I just sat on the porch and surfed my social media, as usual.
