I woke up a week later with a great headache. I tried to speak but nothing came out. I noticed Gary sleeping with his head on my covers. I woke him with a nudge.
"Hey your awake can you hear anything?" He asked
I squinted my eyes and moved my head to the side. I touched my throat.
"Relax everyone is safe but when the subatomic blast happened it sorta messed you up you inhaled something when you arghed." He said
I eyed him skeptically.
"Dont give me that look."he laughed
I rubbed my temples with my fingers wincing when it started throbbing.
"Want an aspirin?"he asked
I nodded.
He left and came back followed by Tammy and Abe and Abe's uncle Dean and a butler named Al.
I look at all them.
"We was concerned and yes we been out in the hall for awhile."Abe said
I smiled and nodded as a thank you to Gary as he handed me an aspirin.
I took it then downed it with water.
Someone came up and touched the back of my head I turned and hit them.
"Ow be nice." He said wearing a brown coat and matching pants and a white button down shirt.
I bared my teeth at him.
They went to touch my head again I produced a curved dagger from under my pillow..
"I was gonna put something on it that would help it to help it heal quicker."the man said
"Lidia I told doctor Gavin that we was in a bar and someone got shovey with the bouncer and you ended up against the wall by accident." Gary said
The doc looks at me then looked at Gary.
"Mind checking other things for weapons before I continue?"he asked
I give the dagger to tammy who admired it and grabbed both pillowes then nodded and put my head down.
"She gives you permission to continue. She will hold onto her pillows."Gary said
"Anything the matter with her voice?"he asked
"An elbow from the bouncer when he stumbled against her."he said
"Open the mouth." He said after feeling the throat.
I opened he shined a light in my mouth and turned my face slightly.
"A common cold."he said
Then he put the ointment on and gave it to Gary.
After he left the room I let out a hiss. Then touched my throat
"Here drink this he didnt know he thinks your a human. "Abe sakd handing me a drink of water with a straw.
"Burns"I whispered.
"I know."Abe said
