A Winter's Meeting

(Normal Pov)

Amy was having a typical day, she woke up to the sun peaking through her curtains. She opened her eyes and slowly get out of bed, as she removed her covers, chills went down her spine. Amy grabbed a blanket and put it around herself. Taking her time, Amy took small steps towards her window. She pulled the curtains aside to see the first snow of winter, a smile formed on her face. Throwing the blanket on the floor, Amy ran to her closet and picked out a red winter dress, along with tights, boots and her red hairband. She got changed in a flash, running down the stairs while fixing her hairband. She looked at her kitchen and shook her head.

"Just this one time, I'll skip breakfast" she said to herself.

Amy walked to her front door and opened it slowly. She looked at the snowflakes falling with a big smile. Stepping out of her house made her shiver a little, but she didn't mind that at all. Closing the door after herself, Amy started walking to the park. As Amy was taking a stroll through the park, a blue hedgehog ran into her. Amy fell on the cold ground, looking in front of herself, she noticed the blue hedgehog on the ground along with her. The blue hedgehog slowly stood up, and offered his hand to the pink female he ran into. Amy took his hand and was immediately pulled up.

"Sorry about that, I tried to stop but the ice was just too slippy." The blue hedgehog explained himself, letting go of her hand.

"It's alright, accidents happen all the time. I'm Amy. Amy Rose" Amy said with a smiles across her face, as she took her hand out for him to shake.

"I'm Sonic. Sonic the hedgehog" he said with a warm smile, shaking her hand.

The two of them enjoyed a walk together around the park, getting to know each other more. They haven't been talking for more than an hour, and they already became great friends. Enjoying each others company, neither of them could say bye.

"Sonic, how about we go to that cafe?" Amy asked, as she pointed to a small cafe just across from the park.

"Sure, getting something to eat would be nice" he answered, slowly making his way to the pointed cafe.

Amy smiled and walked beside him, as they enter the cafe, the heating in the building makes them forget the cold weather outside. They take a seat beside a window, that was the perfect spot to see the park covered in snow.

"What's your favorite food?" asked Amy, as she took the menu. Looking at every single dish the cafe offers.

"I love chili dogs" Sonic answered taking a menu himself. Trying to find the chili dogs on the list of foods they have to offer. "What's yours?" he said looking at Amy from above his menu.

"I'm not sure. I never really had a favorite food" she said, desperately trying to think of a food she loves.

After a short while a really young fox came and took their order, Sonic and Amy didn't have to wait long, as the waitress returned really quickly with their orders on her tray. Enjoying the food, they had another talk, which made them bond even closer than before. As they finished, they both paid for themselves. Afterwards they enjoyed another walk in the park, with more snow falling every second around them. After walking for a longer while, the sun started setting and they were walking under the moon and stars. Amy started shivering as the wind got stronger and the snow was falling heavier, her dress didn't keep her warm anymore. Sonic noticed her shaking and stopped walking, making her stop a second afterwards.

"Amy your cold, how about I take you home?" he asks her, his voice showing clear concern about the female hedgehog.

"Really? Thanks Sonic, how about I make us some hot chocolate when we get there?" Amy says, trying to make an offer which hopefully he wont refuse. As she would love to spend more time with him.

"Sure, that sounds like a great idea" Sonic answers her with a smile and his famous thumbs up.

To make the journey quicker, Sonic picks Amy up and holds her bridal style. Having her shocked and surprised, he holds her tight and runs to her house. A blue and a small amount of pink trailing behind him, as Amy was holding onto his chest and practically disappeared in his arms. For his luck Amy told and explained where she lives, which made the journey quicker and easier for him. The blue blur gently put the shaking female down, and smiled at her. She gave him a small smile back, still shaking a little.

"Told you I am fast, your fault for not beliveing" he said, a cocky grin on his face. Amy rolled her eyes and opened the door.

The both went inside, Amy showed Sonic where her living room is. So he can sit down and warm up, while she makes some hot chocolate. While Amy was busy making the chocolate, Sonic turned the TV on. The channel on right now was the news, it spoke of a heavy snowstorm. Warning everyone to stay home, until everything calms down. Amy came in with the hot chocolate just to hear the news.

"You can stay here if you want" she said, handing him a mug of hot chocolate.

Sonic smiled, "Thanks Ames"

Amy froze for a second and looked at him confused. "Ames?"

"I-it's your nickname" Sonic said, feeling really embarrassed.

"I like it" Amy said with a smile, before adding "Sonikku"

Sonic chuckles, "that's my nickname?". Amy nods and Sonic smiles," I like it"

Hours passed and the weather was getting worse, but Sonic and Amy didn't seem to care. Their company made the time fly by and forget about the world. With every second passing by, the feelings they had towards each other grew.

Couple days later, the weather got better. Sonic was able to leave Amy's house, and go back to his house. Not only that, but he also go for one of his runs again. Usually Sonic would go crazy being stuck so long inside, but something about Amy made him forget that.

"Thanks Amy for letting me stay here during the storm."

"It's no problem" Amy said with a smile, as she was standing at the door with Sonic. He was outside while she was inside.

They stared into each other eyes, and couldn't could look away. Both of them started to slowly to lean in, until their lips met.

Amy got embarrassed and pulled away, blushing red. Sonic took a step forward and kissed her, having her eyes open wide but slowly close. Sonics left hand went around her waist while his right went to her hair, making the kiss more passionate between them. Amy placed her hands on his chest as they were kissing.The snow was falling gently behind Sonic, as they were kissing.

Sonic broke the kiss slowly and looked into Amy's eyes. "I love you"

"I love you too"

Sorry that this story was late, my Christmas was busier that I thought. also the New Year, anyway. It's more of a winter story, so I am fine since it's still winter.
