Arnav stood on the terrace of the Raizada Mansion. His eyes were fixed on the full moon shining above himself. Khushi entered the terrace behind him and stood next to him. "Penny for your thoughts?

Arnav averted his gaze from the moon and looked at Khushi, a small smile bloomed on his face as soon as his eyes met hers. "Honestly, there's a lot on my mind. I'm scared, I'm.. We're all getting habitual to your presence, Prisha.. Prisha's presence. You have brought so much positivity, so many smiles, happiness to this house. I don't want to imagine the day you'll have to go with your husband." He said quietly. "I can't.. can't think of something like that.

Khushi sighed and took his hand in her own, "You're stressing yourself." Khushi informed him.

Arnav looked at her annoyed, "Don't you start now.

Khushi laughed, "We're only doing this for you Arnav. We aren't enjoying this." She said softly.

Arnav nodded. "I can't make sense of my life Khushi. Can you even imagine what that would feel like?" He asked feigning curiosity. Khushi looked down at her feet, not knowing what to say. "I want to remember Khushi. I want to remember everything. I want to remember who I am. I want to remember who you are, and why you are so important. I...

The rest of his words faded, Khushi closed her eyes tightly as a sudden realization hit her hard. How could she? How could she do that to him? How could she not understand that he was in so much pain? How could she not see the conflict that he was going through, tearing his whole being apart on a daily basis?

Arnav loved her. Her memory loss would never change that about him. The memory loss could snatch from him, the memories that resided in his brain, but she? She was his heart. He loved her like nothing else in the world and while she knew that she was only his, she had so stupidly overlooked the fact that for him, Khushi, His Khushi was married to an unnamed, unknown man who would soon come and take her and Prisha away from him.

She remembered the various incidents in the last few months where she had unknowingly overlooked his vulnerability and insecurity. How could she be so stupid! How could she not see!! She knew that she couldn't tell him everything, but could she even let this continue? Could she let him live in the uncertainty and fear of losing not one but two of the most important people in his life? Could she live with herself knowing that she wasn't helping her husband when he most needed her?

"THREE YEARS!! Teen saal kam nahi hote hain Khushi. (Three years aren't nothing Khushi.)" Arnav snapped irritably, causing Khushi to snap out of her thoughts.

Khushi nodded, biting back a sob. What should she do now? She couldn't understand. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you like this. You're right, three years aren't.. aren't nothing." She agreed, looking down at her feet. "We are doing this for you, but you are right, none of us can understand what you're going through."

Arnav took her hand in his own and held her face up to meet his eyes, "Did I scare you?" He asked softly. Khushi shook her head, as her heart thudded erratically in her chest. She stared deep into his eyes, watching his eyes pool up with unbound, unwavering love for her. He looked sad, torn, broken. She gasped, "Arnav?

Arnav moved just a little closer, their bodies plastered to each-other, their breaths mingling together. "Khush.." He whimpered, almost quietly. "I'm tired.

Khushi held his face between her soft palms, "Shh." She whispered before stepping on her tiptoes and pressing her lips gently on his. Arnav sighed at the contact, holding her tightly by her waist he pulled her closer still, not wanting to lose the contact of her soft lips from his. They stood still for a long moment, as if crystalized. Khushi brought her hands to his hair and tilted his face slightly before sucking his lower lip. Arnav was quick to follow as he found his own hands wrapping protectively around her small waist before he too started to respond to what Khushi had started. They kissed for what felt like a short infinity in a thousand bigger infinities, nipping, biting and sucking at each other's lips trying to control their raging passion. A few minutes later, they parted unwillingly in need of air to breath, their faces red, breathing ragged and uneven. Khushi collapsed right into his chest, trying to control her breathing. Arnav's hands instinctively wrapped themselves around her frame, steadying her as his face buried in her hair.
