Chapter 1: the journey
The journey of our hero was not all easy it was with ups and downs, happiness and sadness like most of us but what made it different his emotions, if human emotion could be measured in a scale of 1-10, Rick's would have been 12 since he was bought up in a joint family with his grandparents, his father would feed him sweet poison lies everyday about how much he loves him and cares for him but in reality he was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to make his life a living hell. Rick grew up into a compassionate person under the care of his grandfather Harvey woods, he was the captain of his school's local football team, an intern at the mayor's office and the youngest junior associate in a multibillion dollar financial company but his dad was never proud of him he always demanded more from him . Rick believed that his father wanted him to be the best and always struggled and worked hard to make his dad proud all he ever wanted was to hear the words "I'm proud of you" from his father's mouth. On Rick's 17th birthday he won the final game of the football tournament and was awarded a full paid scholarship to Yale and he was so sure that his would be so proud of him. He ran as fast as the wind could carry him towards his home and as he was about to enter his father's bedroom he heard his mom's voice he wanted to say the happy news to both of them together and he peeped from the window and it looked like something very serious was brewing between them and their face had that grimed look as if someone has stabbed him in the back. His mother said "WE SHOULD BE PROUD OF OUR SON"
And his father replied " HE IS NOT EVEN MY SON!! It would have been BETTER if we went forward with abortion as we planned he is just a mistake"
His mom said " But he is still the same person who you sang songs to, he is the same person who you love "
"He is not my son and will never be and if you still don't agree with me im going to do the thing which I wanted to do all those years ago"
"THUD....D" Lily slammed the door crying and went to the living roomChapter 2: The confrontation
" MOM Im homeeeee" shouted Rick, his mother pretended like nothing never happened and asked him about the match, Rick had a very casual conversation with his mom and later with the steps of tension he started moving towards his father's room he felt as if his legs weighed a hundred pounds each and he started sweating more than he ever did in his match and opened the door saw his father, his father understood that something was wrong.
Rick asked him " dad am I not your son?"
His father started laughing in the most evil way that even supervillains would get scared of
"so you heard!"
"yes?"
"whose son am I? is this even my house? Why did you hide this from me?
Why did you pretended to be my father??"
"some things are better if we do not know" ,said his father
"I deserve to know!!"
"all in time son, all in time"
Rick wanted to demand answers but he knew it will do more harm than good, he left the place since he knew his father would be more worse than a demon if someone goes against his words besides he dint want his mind to be disturbed and focus all of his attention on college
