Ding dong!

A sound startled a sleeping Hyun Been, waking her up. She wanted to ignore it but the continuous sound didn't make her go back to her sleep. Confused, she looked around her living room, looking for the source of the sound. It took her a moment before she realized it was coming from the intercom. Without a sense of urgency, she went to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Nǐ hǎo Hyun Been Xiăojiĕ. I got the boxes you requested," a male voice answered.

Boxes?

"Xiăojiĕ?" he called when she didn't answer. "I'll bring it up in a few minutes for you."

Snapping out from sleepiness, the voice finally registered to her. It was Lao from the reception. Remembering that she requested some boxes from him, she answered, "Hi Lao. Thanks, and it's fine, I'll go down and pick them up."

Still sleepy, Hyun Been forced herself to get up. Debating whether she should wash her face or not, she shrugged to herself.

Whatever. It was just Lao anyway.

Instead, she just took a hair bangle and tied her hair into a bun. She checked her phone while waiting for Lao, who rang the bell a few minutes later.

"I only requested five boxes," Hyun Been told him when she saw him holding more than five.

Lao smiled at her. "Just to be sure."

She let him enter her apartment and led her to the living room.

"Thank you. I didn't expect to get them right away." She only requested them yesterday.

"A few residents also needed a few boxes so it came with their orders."

After thanking him and paying for the boxes, Hyun Been dragged some of the boxes to her guestroom which also served as her mini-library. Initially, she planned to start packing during the weekend but since she had nothing to do, she went on and started with it.

It was not even half an hour when she gave up and stopped packing because of her grumbling stomach.

Food. I need food.

As she was rummaging through her fridge, her phone rang. Without looking at the caller ID, Hyun Been answered the call, putting it on speaker before going back to her task.

"Hello?"

Taking out some leftover food from the fridge and putting in the microwave had her losing her attention to the call.

"Hello? Beenie?" Her older brother's voice called out a little louder on the other side of the phone.

Right, phone! "Sorry, Oppa. Give me a sec."

She quickly set the timer for the microwave and picked up her phone as she moved to get some bowl for the rice. "Oh, Oppa? What's up?"

"Everything okay?" Kyung Ho asked.

"Yeah. I'm just heating some food. Why did you call?"

Even without seeing him, Hyun Been was sure he was scowling at the phoen. "Food. Of course. Should have guessed. And what do you why? Do I need a reason to call my younger sister?"

Hyun Been rolled her eyes playfully. "I'm hanging up."

"Yah!"

Hyun Been laughed hearing his brother grumble untile he spoke up once again, "Halabeoji wants to know if you want us to find a place for you."
