I knocked on the door. Brittany ( Tommy's mom) opened the door.

"Well Hello, Kids!" Brittany said with a bright smile.

" Hi, Brittany may I talk with you in private?" I asked her with a hurt expression.

" Yes, dear. Jeffrey, Tommy is in the backyard." She said with a cheeky smile. Jeffrey's face was so excited." Thank you, Mrs. Scott" Then ran in. I smiled.

" Tiffany, is there something wrong?" Brittany asked. My smiled faded.

" No, it's not." I said looking at the ground. She grabbed my chin to make me look at her.

"Tiffany what's going on?" She asked very worried.

"Mrs. Scott, can Jeffrey say here for a few weeks?" I asked her hopefully.

"Of course, sweetheart. Are you going to tell me what's going on?" She questioned me.

"Mrs. Scott my parents are gone, like always. I don't like the idea of Jeffrey staying there with Buddy, while I'm working and that's it. I will see him tomorrow. Okay?" I said fast.

Brittany smile faded. "Of course, dear. He will miss you very much, Tiff." She told me. My smiled faded again.

" I know, I will see him everyday or every other day. I will tell him bye." I walked into the house to the backyard. Jeffrey and Tommy were playing cars and animals.

" Jeffrey, I got to go." I told him with a frown. He ran to me and hugged me. I was about to cry.

" I love you Tiffy." Jeff told me.

" I love you too, squirt." I told him.

I got up and went to my car and drove to Justin's.
