Don't Forget Me - Taekook ff

Chapter 1: Please be okay

(A/N: Hi everyone! This is my first time writing a ff so I'm really nervous...if you like it please support, I'm always open to suggestions! Also, Idk if there's going to be smut yet but we'll see 😅😅😅)

Taehyung ran through the hospital, stopping in front of the room the nurse said patient Jeon Jungkook was admitted to. Taehyung had been at his part time job when he had received a call from Jimin, that Jungkook had been in an accident.

Jimin had also told him that all the others were on the way too. He tried to get to the door, but a nurse coming out of his room stopped him.

"Family visits only" She said, looking sceptically at Taehyung.

"I- I'm his brother!" Taehyung blurted out, hoping the nurse would let up. He knew that Jungkook's parents were currently overseas, so she wouldn't be able to confirm anything with them easily. She still looked doubtful, but let him in.

The room was blindingly white, and Jungkook was in the bed, his head wrapped with bandages. Rushing over to his bedside, Taehyung couldn't hold back the tears that were threatening to well up anymore. He collapsed beside the bed, grabbing Jungkook's hand as silent tears trailed down his face.

"Please be okay Kookie...you have to be okay" he sobbed.

15 minutes later, Jimin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Jin and Namjoon filed into the room, out of breath.

"Is he okay?" Jin asked worriedly. They were all very close, but because Jin was the eldest and Jungkook was the youngest, he had a habit of taking care of and babying him.

"They said he's in a stable condition," Taehyung managed to reply, he had stopped sobbing now and his eyes were all red from crying. Jimin put a hand on his shoulder, looking worriedly at Taehyung and Jungkook. His friend was not coping well with this at all.

"How...how did you get in?" Taehyung looked up for the first time at his hyungs.

"We sneaked in so we won't be able to stay long, are you going to stay with him?" Namjoon replied.

"Yes..." Taehyung mumbled, turning back to look at the unconscious boy on the bed. The others stayed for a while longer, but eventually had to leave before they were discovered.

"Call me when he wakes up," Jimin pulled Taehyung into a hug.

"Alright," Taehyung replied, hugging the other back as tightly as he could. Taehyung and Jimin had always been there for each other, ever since they were kids.

After they had all left, tears started to form in Taehyung's eyes again as he looked at the unconscious boy he was so in love with. How could this have happened? He wished that he was the one who had gotten into the car accident instead.

This can't be happening

Why is this happening

The events of today did not seem real to him, he desperately wished it was just a nightmare but unfortunately it was real.

Please be okay...you have to be okay... he prayed silently. He hesitantly leaned over Jungkook, giving the unconscious boy a feather light kiss on the lips.
He sat next to Jungkook and held his hand, staying like that until he fell asleep.
