Wally POV
I knew he had trouble sleeping when we were younger but over the past year of living with him I realize it got worse. Dick is unable to sleep most nights no matter how tired he is and then when he does sleep, nightmares tear him out of it. I'll wake up to him screaming, or to him just not by my side at all. I rolled over to put an arm around my boyfriend but once again I feel nothing. He's gone. I sit up and look around for him. I hear the front door shut. I speed into some clothes and run out the front door. I leave the building and look for him. He isn't out here. The roof. I sped up the side of the building and found him sitting on the edge watching the snow. "Dick, come back inside before you get sick," I said gently. "Don't you wish the world was this beautiful?" He asked looking out over the city. From this high up it looks beautiful and kind unlike the crime riden streets below. This is why he likes high places. I sat beside him, "That's why we're heroes. To make it beautiful." "But what if we suck at out job? People keep dying and the city is still filled with crime," he said bitterly. "Our jobs will never be done but as long as we're doing something...we'll be making a difference," I said and sat beside him. He looked over at me, "Will you hold me?" I nodded and wrapped my arms around him. "Always," I whispered.
