Kajal could see how her sister's face fell in utter disappointment. Though she's not that expressive when it comes to the matter of love and romance. But what she noticed was, she was really excited to see him when she was told about the proposal.
Kajal put her hand on her shoulder in a supporting manner. She was for the first time interested in something other than studies but it turned upside down.
"It's okay. I am fine.", Amaira mumbled in a low voice and immediately ran upstairs to her room.
Kajal wanted to follow her and comfort her. But judging her mood, it's better to leave her alone for sometime.
Amaira sat down in front of her dressing table and started removing the jewelry one by one angrily. Suddenly her mind went back to the conversation she had with her cousin last night.
"Didi, agar jiju aap se pehli baar dekhne aayenge tho kya kahenge?"
"Mujhe kaise pata hoga? Oyy jiju kuin bola tumne? Abhi tak unhone haa nahi kiya rishtey keliye."
"Arey didi vo tho direct shadi karna chahte hai. Aap se love at first sight jo hogaya unko."
"Tu bhi kajal, kahi bhi shuru ho jati ho. Apne filmon ki duniya se bahar aaja, aisa nahi hota hai real life mein."
"Huff! You are such an unromantic girl. I don't know who will be your future husband but bechara ka kat gaya."
"Badmash!", Amaira threw a pillow on her in defense. Sure she's not that much romantic at her heart but little did she know how it worked.
"Just imagine for a moment, main hi Aarav hu. Ab tumse sawaal karungi tum jawab do gi okay?"
"Okay meri maa..", Amaira held her hands up in surrender.
"Hello! How are you? Sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I am Aarav Sehgal.", Kajal put on Mr. Sharma's coat and sat down in the chair arrogantly.
"I am good. Thank you.", she suppressed a laugh at her antics.
"What about your education?"
"I just completed graduation."
"What is your hobby? Aap ko kya pasand hai? Aage aap padhna chahti hain kya? If you want to continue your studies I don't mind."
Amaira looked at her cousin with a knowing look.
"I know about you very well my didi. I know you want to continue your studies but couldn't say no to mama's word right?"
"Yes, he's very excited about my marriage. And I was never against the idea of marriage so I am okay. But I don't think he will care about my likes and dislikes."
