Misty laid on her bed looking up at the unfamiliar ceiling. The unfamiliar bed sheets. The unfamiliar....everything...

All her thought patterns just...seemed to bring back the past. Life was....bliss when it was just her, Maria and Michael. It wasnt great. Nothing like how Michael had now. But, it was good enough...

Then. Her parents split. It was an emotional rollercoaster. She was too young to understand. But, her dad just disappeared and not only did it cause her pain. Her mum became an addict.

There was then this man. The man who promised he could take away all the pain and suffering. They are moved out the old trailer park into the small apartment this guy owned. But, they were so wrong.

Her mums health declined through the months and finally Misty snapped. She had got involved with the local gangs and Misty was the only way she could make money.

She then met Tom a young wannabe Police officer. He was rolling with the local gang just like Misty. But, he was the only one who knew of her secret a secret that would ruin everything.

She and Tom started dating and hustling together with Dennis extorting money from local businesses. Selling drugs and including themselves with any other activities that could grab them the sweet paper they desired. Little did she know. She fucked up. Big time.

"Emma! Drop the gun! We can talk about this!" Misty rolled onto her side. She heard the voices in her head."No Tom! Its over! We will never work out like this!" She had flashbacks of the night she screamed as pain of the guilt ripped through her. The gunshots ringing in her head..

"Em! baby.What's going on in there!?!" Michaels voice shouted from the other side of the door.

Misty shot up. Trembling in fear "Dad, come in please" Misty cried.

Michael opened the door to see Misty trembling on the bed and sat next to her..

"Emma...do you wanna tell us what happened with your ma?..."
