Chapter 7: Savage works on getting closer to Kelly

I lay looking out the window. I did not want him to know that I know he really does not want me. I wondered where that woman is. I have not heard anyone talking about her. Since I have been here Savage has not left the club. I know he goes to work at the garage, but he does not leave the club other than that. I have gotten as close to Kelly as her brother bill is. I had been on a run when Kelly first arrived at the club. She had left by the time I returned but I had heard things.

I heard that Savage and Kelly had not had sex when she was here. I heard that Lauri showed up and Kelly, Berserk, and Elizabeth saw him kissing Laura in the garage. I find that odd since I knew that Savage's first real kiss with a woman was when Kelly kissed him in front of Cassie. What I can not believe is that Savage would kiss Lauri an old girlfriend in the garage where anyone could see. I went to high school with Savage. I knew he was a virgin. I cannot believe he would cheat on Kelly.

Kelly what is going on between you and Savage? Nothing why do you ask? I know you have your memory back. I can see it in your eyes. I sighed. I am ready to return to my apartment. You do not have the apartment anymore. I looked at him and asked him what he meant. They brought all your stuff here when the doctor told them you could not live alone. Why would he do that when he does not even want me?

What makes you think he does not want you? We slept in the same bed for almost three months Steve. And? Nothing. What do you mean nothing? He never kissed me, he never touched me. He never made out with me let along have sex with me. Then I saw him. I saw him kissing her. So, I left. I was not going to stay where I was not wanted. I was not going to stand in his way of being with the woman he really wanted.

Do you know he still has not kissed me? He comes to bed when he thinks I am asleep. Then he sleeps on the edge of the bed as far away from me as he can get. I need my phone and wallet. Why do you need your phone? I need to call my landlord and see if my apartment is still available. Why do you need to do that? Steve I cannot stay here. He does not want me. The longer I stay the emotionally I am going to go downhill.

Do you not see it Steve? Have you seen him look in on me during his lunch time or before he comes to bed? No, he does not. He stays away from me. I love him and I can not continue to this way. I stood up and dragged the IV pole towards the door. I opened it and said looking at the floor. Get out. Get out now. I watched him walk out the door and then I slammed it shut and locked the handle and shoved the slide lock on the door until they were all locked.

I walked into the bathroom and got out gauze and tape. I then took the tape off the IV in my hand. Next, I pulled the IV out and put the gauze on it and taped it down. I then got into the shower. After getting out I put sweatpants, a t-shirt, and socks on. I sat in the rocking chair and stared out the window above the bed. I heard my name being called. Then the doorknob turning.

Kelly, unlock the door. I did not answer. Kelly you unlock this door right now. I just stared at the door. Kick this door down. I heard several kicks against the door, but it did not budge. It will not break open. Someone needs to call Savage. I heard Steve say, "she will not open it for Savage." She has her memory back. Shit. Why the hell did he never tell her that Lauri kissed him, and he was pushing her away when she saw it?

To her all she saw was his arms on Laurie's arms and she left. Go get the tools and take those fucking bars off the window. I looked up to see feet running toward the garage or shed. I closed the wood and bolted it so they could not get in. I heard someone yell god damn it. She bolted the wood down. Even if we took the bars off, we cannot get in. I heard someone yell "B.J., Steve you better hope she does not hurt herself or Savage will kill you both." Then I heard Steve say to them that he does not answer to Savage. They answer to me. I laughed.
