Phase 2(part one)

Hisoka and I got to the meeting point for the end of phase one. As we were walking there we shared a very quiet journey. Not only were Hisoka and I silent, but so was everything around us. It was almost to the point where I lost my mind. As soo as we got there, the first perso I saw was Tonpa. He gave me a scowl ad I sent him a gigantic grin.

Currently, we are waiting for the instructor to show up and take us to phase two. I'm pacing around impatiently because I've been here for almost five hours. Hisoka is leaning against a tree playing with the cards of his. I take a deep breath and sit down while also observing everyone. They must be pretty decent on terms of survival, but when it comes o a battle, they all look weak to me. All except Hisoka. I don't know what it is about him, but it excites me to not know anything about him. Oh and that unknown aura! I still have to figure out what that was.

"Welcome examinees! I am the instructor of phase two named R/N(random name)," a women on a boat said, interrupting my thoughts. How rude. I stood up and walked towards the beach to get a view on the woman.

"So...how is this gonna work for phase two? Well, complicatedly is my answer. You all have one day to solve a series of....puzzles I guess," she explains to us. Well this should be easy, but why are they giving us a whole day just for that? I really don't know. She let us all board the boat one by one while checking our number badges. As soon as we started moving, I didn't feel too good. I leaned over the edge and started vomiting like there was no tomorrow.

"Hmm, that's interesting. Someone how just dodged throwing knives, tricked Tonpa, and caught one of my cards, gets sick on a boat," Hisoka says from behind me. I jump and quickly turn around. He lets out a chuckle and leans against the ledge.

"Jesus Christ Hisoka! Don't just scare me like that!" I exclaim. He chuckles again.

"You shouldn't have let your guard down. I could have killed you at any moment. You are lucky that I didn't," he tells me. I scowl ad then bring out my new throwing knives. I really wish I hadn't lost my original ones. Let's just say that a friend gave me those. I jump up on the ledge and just stand there for a moment watching as the island shrinks until I can no longer see it. I the feel the vomit climbing up my stomach and I jump back onto the boat and lean over and let it out. Hisoka begins to chuckle for the third time ad then he walks off to probably torment a poor soul. Not really my problem.

After vomiting about thirty times and about three hours of misery on a boat, we finally get to another island. This time it's bigger, though. We all boarded off, which I'm grateful for. We all had to go to an entrance of what looks like a maze. A really big maze.

"There are entrances all around the maze. One for each of you. I will place each of you at an entrance. The goal is to make it to the center by the end of the day. Pretty straight forward. In the move will be puzzles and riddles that you will have to answer to get past that one spot. Do y'all understand that much?" she explains to us. Jeez she treats us like kids. We all mumble a yes and she begins to place us around the maze. After about twenty minutes, we hear a loud sound signaling to start. I run forward and I'm faced with my first choice. Simply left or right. Oh jeez, what should I do? Maybe left? No they're expecting that. But are they thinking that I'm thinking that? Oh dear god this is frustrating. I'll just go with my gut and wing it.

                                                            (Hisoka POV)

For some reason I wish for young Y/N to pass this phase. As soon as the signal went off, I simply walked forward. I wonder why they chose a maze. How very interesting this hunter exam is. The girl, though, is most interesting of all. She managed to catch one of my cards and detect my presence from quite a distance. No one has amused me this much in a while. Let's see how this goes.
