Why I Will NEVER Ride A Bike Again

The reason why I will never ride a bike again is simple. I was scarred for life for riding one. How did this happen is what you might ask? So, this is how the story goes. I just got a new bike. It was pink and black, it had handle brakes, and two pegs on the wheel of the bike. I was riding around with my next-door neighbor and I wanted to ride down this really big hill. So, I did.        Once I was near the bottom I began to put on the brakes. I was an extremely small kid, and I still am. So, when the brakes didn't work, I knew why. I wasn't strong enough to squeeze the brakes to slow down. Of course, I began to panic, but I came up with a plan in those few seconds. Since the end of the road was a colda sack I would just ride in circles until I stopped. So, I began to make my first circle around the colda sack. When I saw a brick, yes a brick, in the middle of the road. So, I tried to dodge it however, I was going too fast from going down the hill. I thought I dodged it when I clipped the corner of the brick. I went flying into the owner of the brick's mailbox.       I landed with my bike on top of me and my leg entangled in an awkward position around my bike. I was in so much pain. The most pain was coming from my pinky on my right hand. My friend saw what happened and freaked out. He asked if I was ok and I said no, of course. He was a few years older than me so he carried me up the hill to my house. Once we got there He said to me that he didn't want to mention it, but there was a huge gash on my back. I told him that it was fine and my finger hurt worse. I honestly couldn't feel it over the pain in my finger. I had fractured it.       He dropped my off at my house where my parents took over and told me to feel better then went back to his house. When I told my mom that I ran into a brick in the road she didn't believe me. Well, not much has changed since then because when I mentioned that I fractured my finger during that incident a few days ago she didn't believe me and was very certain that it did not happen. I had to explain to her in detail what happened and then she said I kind of remember that now, but I don't think you fractured your finger. And I am sure if she saw this shew would disagree with my fractured finger and ever having that conversation.
