One Day Until the Party
"LET ME OUT!"
"MICHAEL, THIS ISN'T FUNNY!"
"LET ME OUT!"
I slammed all my weight on the door. It wouldn't budge. I sobbed loudly, repeating the phrase "Let me out," hoping that someone, anyone would hear me and open the door.
I was locked in the Safe-Room. It was a closet-like room with the empty suits of mascots and animatronic endoskeletons. I'd been in there many times before. I didn't really have a problem with the room, it was just the fact that Mike had locked me in there.
I looked behind me and my eyes locked on a spot in the floor with a red stain on it. I knew what it was.
It was blood.
It was dad's blood.
It was a nice, sunny day. Dad and Uncle Henry were walking around as the mascots when for some reason still unknown to me, this kid punched my dad in the gut.
My dad froze, and a loud snap echoed around the room.
I didn't understand what had happened at the time, but I knew that it was bad. I knew that my dad was in trouble. Both Uncle Henry and I rushed to him. Uncle Henry made it first, putting a hand on my dad's back and asking him questions. They were speaking quietly and I couldn't really hear what they were saying. The Pizzeria was evacuated, leaving only dad, Uncle Henry, Michael, Elizabeth, Charlie, and I in the building. Henry ended up picking up and carrying dad into the Safe-Room, laying him on the floor while he carefully took the Spring Bonnie mascot off of him.
With the suit taken off, his shirtless chest was shown. He had bloody cuts all over him, one side mirroring the other. The inside of the suit was caked in the crimson liquid. It's honestly a miracle that the springlocks didn't release completely.
I immediately ran over to him.
"What happened daddy?" I had asked, "Are you okay?"
"I'm okay, Evan," he said, "don't worry about me."
He turned his head, now looking at everyone in the room.
"But I'm assuming that you all want an explanation."
Everyone nodded.
He waved us all over. Uncle Henry helped him sit up. He grabbed the Spring Bonnie mask, which was the only part of the rabbit that wasn't covered in my father's blood. He pointed to a part on the back of the mask. We all leaned in.
"This," he said, "is called a springlock. You all know that these suits double as animatronics, right?"
Once again, we all nodded.
"Well, these springlocks are the things that hold back the animatronic parts while it's in suit mode. But they can be dangerous. If these springlocks get triggered, the animatronic parts will snap into place. Now if there is a person inside, well, the chance of survival is slim. It's honestly amazing that I'm still alive today. Guess I just got lucky."
"You're not going to die, are you?" Elizabeth asked.
"No, no," dad replied, stroking my sister's perfectly curled strawberry blond hair, "Daddy's gonna be just fine."
The memory flashed through my head. Despite how gruesome the situation was, I've always thought of that memory as a good one. I slid down the door, still staring at the blood stain on the floor.
"Please let me out," I said in almost a whisper, tears still rolling down my cheeks.
"Please..."
I didn't notice the small smile that had appeared on my face as I thought about that moment.

A/N: I was originally just going to make this chapter be the next day, but I felt like this moment needed to be shared. In the story, the mom isn't there because she actually works somewhere other then Fredbear's (le gasp). William did end up going to the hospital after that whole fiasco, but he's okay now. It's kinda hard to write as Chris. He's supposed to be afraid of everything, and to be honest with you that's hard to do. Either way, I hope you enjoy this chapter! ~SLTheFuntimeFox
