Briar's POV (Monday)
Why did I always try to make others happy before myself?
Why did I put others feelings before my own?!
Because I'm too kind & considerate. That's why!
"Hey, Bri!" Dylan greeted, walking into the kitchen. I internally screamed at the nickname. She had no right to call me 'Bri.'
"Hey!" I replied, unamused. I wasn't exactly excited to see her, but I was doing this for, Myles.
You're probably confused. Let me explain what's been going on.
Five days ago, Myles showed me his conversation with Dylan over Instagram. They had been chatting casually, but then Dylan said she wanted to hangout at some point, & catch up.
I wasn't keen, but Myles assured me that nothing would happen between them. He even said that he'd invite Dylan around while I was staying at his house, so that I was there to meet her.
I thought they'd just hangout once or twice, & that would be the end of it. But boy, was I wrong?!
Dylan came around Thursday, while Myles was at the Recording Studio. Francine invited her in, then introduced me to her. We told her that Myles was out, & wouldn't be back until much later. I thought she would have gotten the hint, & just came back later on to see Myles, but she didn't. She stayed until Myles got home, then joined us for dinner.
She came around Friday, after Myles's photoshoot, but luckily she didn't stay too long.
Dylan came around Saturday morning & played video games with Kingsley, until Myles was back from the gym. He was so happy to see her, but all I got was a, "good morning, B!" & a kiss on the cheek.
They ate lunch in the garden, & Dylan talked to Myles for hours on end. I could barely get a word in edgewise. It was like I was invisible, while they sat there chatting, & laughing together.
Sunday was rather peaceful. Dylan was at a family reunion, so I got to spend the whole day with, Myles. He woke me up with a bouquet of flowers & a box of chocolates, which I thought was really sweet! We went to the beach, got lunch, & then went for a walk at sunset. It was a truly magical day, but I had a feeling it was going to come to an end.
Flashback to this Morning!
It was Monday, & I had awoken to the sound of banging downstairs. I thought nothing of it, & decided to get up. I had a shower, then changed into a pair of black ripped jeans, & a white button-up blouse, with my converse. I curled my hair, & did my makeup. After I had gotten ready for the day, I walked down the hallway, towards the staircase, when I heard giggling coming from Myles's bedroom.
I rested my ear on the door, & heard two voices talking, but it was muffled, so I couldn't make out what was being said.
I knocked on the door lightly, but then heard giggling. I immediately knew who was in the room with Myles, & felt my blood boiling. I turned the doorknob, & barged right in. But I was shocked by the sight I saw.
Myles was sitting on one of the lazy boy chairs from the living room, & Dylan was sitting on the other lazy boy seat, that was positioned next to his. They were both covered in blankets, sharing a bowl of popcorn, watching a movie on Myles's flat-screen TV.
"Morning!" they both said in unison, but didn't take their gaze off of the TV.
"What's going on?" I asked, through gritted teeth. I tried to remain calm. If I lost my temper right now, Dylan would look like some sort of angel, & Myles would say I was just overreacting.
