"Becca!"

I called for my older sister from the comfort of my room. I sighed when I got no response, and made my way across the path to my sister's room.

"Becca did you not hear me calli-" I stopped mid-sentence as I glanced at my sister.

She glanced at herself in the mirror before turning to me with a smile. She had on black dress that stopped just above her knees. It was snug from the waist up, but anything below that flowed down in black silk. She had her thin dark brown hair curled to perfection. And with a touch of makeup to complete her look.

I glanced down and chuckled. She was wearing my black high heels. The very reason why I came to her in the first place.

She glanced down with me and clicked her feet together, "Oh, I'm borrowing these for my date tonight. I'll return them to you in the morning."

"Date?" I quirked up an eyebrow.

She smirked as she made her way over to me. "Yes a date. Don't look so surprised. Shane and I are going out."

"Uh funny, you and Shane have only been on a couple of dates for the whole two years you've been together. What's the special occasion? Oh my god, you're not getting married, are you? You're only a junior in highschool Becca." My reply earned me a snort from my sister.

"No Lex. We just decided to go out. We're kind of on a rough patch right now and I think it would be nice to go out."

I rolled my eyes, "Of course it was your idea and not his."

My sister sent me a glare before she looked away. She had almost a saddened expression on her face. I reached for her arm.

"Hey, you guys are okay though right?"

She gave me a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, and responded with a satisfied nod. I wanted to push more on the subject but I held myself back.

"Okay, well make sure to give those back to me. There's a party this weekend that Jane is dragging me to, and I need those heels."

She gave me a salute as she said, "Yes ma'am."

"Rebecca! Shane's here!" My sister's head perked up at the mention of her boyfriend. She dashed out of the room as quick as she could. I was surprised she could move that fast in those heels.

I decided to head downstairs for a snack. As I reached the last step, I was met with Shane and Rebecca in the entrance. Mom and Dad were no where to be seen, probably to give them some privacy.

I too was about to give them the privacy they needed when the hushed whispers of Shane stopped me.

"I told you Bec, I didn't want to go out tonight. I'm suppose to be at a team bonding session with the boys."

Rebecca did not look satisfied with Shane's words as her face grew tense. That always happened when she felt stressed or angry. And right now she looked like both.

"My god Shane. You and the boys spend time with each other everyday; how much bonding do you need? We haven't been out for awhile, and you've barely even spoken to me at all this week."

Shane rolled his eyes as he glanced away. His gaze fell on me. At first he looked surprised, but that changed to annoyance. "Whatever, let's just go."

He walked out the front door, not even glancing to see if my sister was right behind him. Her shoulders fell as she let out a sigh. She looked over her shoulders at me and gave me a tight lipped smile before walking out the door.
