As soon as his feet hit the ground he was running. The air was cool, and the smell of a pond and mud was clear in the air. As the dark swallowed him he knew he couldn’t stop.

Stopping would mean death. A chance Matthew wasn’t willing to take. Jordon was waiting for him to get home. He’d run out of bullets and had to ditch the guns, finding two katanas that fit nicely in his belt.

What a thrill. Getting close enough to the monster that was trying to rip you apart, just so you could slice its skull with a blade. The feeling was marvelous.

Matts faveorite part was when the blood sprayed when you sever the head from the rest of the torso. Its was very comical to him. The monsters chasing him now were to fast to stop and murder, something like on the first night, thaey ran incredibly fast for mutts, but who the fuck was Matty kidding? He was a mutt himself……

Matt squirmed around in his blanket as Jordan sat on the edge of the bed watching him. Matts curls were in his face and the sounds he was making were adorable. Jordon crawled back up to the head board pulling Matt into his arms, and cuddling him close watching the smaller male still and then nuzzle his face into the crook of the larger male’s neck.

“You lived your life like you were on fire,

But how can I dance, when your soul just lifted me higher and higher and higher?

Paint bleeds, ink runs, image of your love.

Your memory, our history (why did you have to go?)”

Aron had been sick today with the stomach flu, and so Danny walked alone to school in the fog. It had been almost four months since he had seen Dylan, and honestly it scared him shitless to think about where he was. Dylan probably didn’t even care honestly, hell he might even be dead. Vault shit doesn’t apply to real world?

Right? To a certain point it does…. But it doesn’t. Matts gone. Dylans gone. George is gone.

Its over.

Danny honestly couldn’t say he hated being with Vanessa but he didn’t love it. If given the option to leave he would. He was tired of her and Aron both. There shit was something he was not willing to put up with.

“I give up my eyes, to see you one last time

And I'd give all my fingertips to touch you

And I could paint you picture perfect,

 Even if I were blinded.

But you have to die, for me to see how to live.”

Thoughts of Dylan were swimming through Danny’s brain, as the long walk to school felt like a few minutes as Daniel walked through the front door, walking to his classroom passing all the children, ignoring the looks and snickers he got from the little shits.

Ms. Dianne ended up keeping Danny after class and lecturing him about some random shit, about how he needed to focus more on the fucking lessons than being in some sort of la la land.

On the walk back home, liquid started coming down from the sky. Was called rain… Danny thought. The sun was setting and no one was really supposed to be out past 8 oclock and it was more around 7:50 with 30 minutes left to walk….

What a bitch. She knew how far Danny and Aron had to walk to get home. Stupid fucking bitch.

“I live my life hiding in shadows but now I can see,

Cause your soul is lifting me higher and higher and higher.

Paint bleeds, I can't breathe, need you here with me.

Close my eyes, I can feel you close, why did you have to go?”

Dammit.

Danny kinda just found a tree to sit under as he watched the rain collect in puddles at his feet.

First lightning storm?

That shit is scary but cool.

Danny sat and watched. Still half an hour away from home, he gave no fucks.

“I give up my eyes, to see you one last time

And I'd give all my fingertips to touch you

And I could paint you picture perfect,

 Even if I were blinded.

But you have to die, for me to see how to live”

More thoughts of Dylan clouded his mind.

Danny laid against the tree until his eye lids began getting heavy. Eventually falling asleep  against oak. Bad Idea.

Danny woke up to the sound of stumbling footsteps and groaning.
