The Killing Game

Ch. 1: Awake Part 1

        "Where am I?" Wes asked himself as he woke up in an old dirty bath tub. He stood up and felt a sudden sharp pain on the back of his head. I must have been hit pretty hard because I can't remember how the hell I got here, he thought. He walked out the bath tub and sees someone laying in the corner. He walked over and saw girl unconscious laying on the floor. "Hey...Hey!! Wake up!!" said Wes as he shook her awake.

        She grabbed her head feeling a similar sharp pain in her head that Wes had felt a moment ago. "Who the hell are you?!?" she yelled scared and confused as she crawled back against the wall. Wes backed up slowly trying to calm her down. "Calm down... My name is Wes. I woke up in here just like you did and I am just as confused and scared as you are right now." he explained. He held his hand out and helped her get on her feet. "What's your name?" he asked her. 

        "Maya" she replied. 

        "Can you see anything Maya?" he asked.

        "No... It's really dark." She replied. She moved around her arms trying to get a hold of anything in the room. "Where are you?" she asked. Wes moved forward and grabbed her hand tightly. "I'm right here.." he answered. 

        The lights suddenly turned on. "Woah.." he said with an astonished looked on his face.

        "What?" she asked.

        "You're really pretty." I answered. She smiled and turned her attention to the room. They were in a old broken down hotel room. "The light bulbs seem new." said Wes as he looked up at the lights. Maya walked around the room and saw the television. "So does this TV... Everything else in here looks like it's from the 70's." said Maya. 

        The Television turned on to an automated message:

                "Good Morning,

                        My name is Director Lewis and you and 49 other individuals were lucky enough to be chosen to participate in the Battle Royal program. Right now you are in abandoned five story hotel, in every floor there are five rooms with two people in each room. The person in your room is your partner. You have two objectives: Kill and Survive. In 24 hours there will be two survivors: you and your partner. You may have felt a sharp pain on the side of your head when you woke up. That sharp pain was from the explosive we have planted on the side of your skull. Your partner dies your head goes kaboom. The game will start and the door will open when the timer hits zero. Goodluck."                

        "What kind of sick joke is this?" Maya asked angrily.

        "I don't know but I dont like it." he responded and walked over to the door and began kicking it trying to get it to open.
