The Killing Game

Run...Hide...Die... Part 2

A few moments after the Russian left Wes and Maya left the closet. "You can come out now... You're safe with us. I promise." said Maya. The little girl crawled out from under the bed. "What's your name?" asked Maya.

"Eve... Eve Murphy." she quietly answered. Maya walked closer to Eve and leaned on one knee. "We're gonna get out here Eve." said Maya as she held out her hand.

"We gotta keep moving." said Wes. Wes, Maya and Eve left the room. They found a staircase and walked down to first floor. They entered the first room they saw and saw a man with a large hole on the back of his head and a woman pinned to the wall with a fireplace poker on her stomach. The frightened Eve turned towards Maya. "It's okay sweetie.." said Maya comforting her. Wes closed the door behind him and took out the fireplace poker that was impaled on stomach. "I guess they never made it to the rules." said Wes.

"We gotta do something about these bodies." Maya said to Wes.

"I'm on it.." he responded. He grabbed the woman's body and placed her by the dead man lying on floor. He then took the sheets on bed and used it to cover their bodies. "Okay... We got to keep moving." said Wes.

"What happened to waiting it out?" argued Maya.

"We can't just stay cornered in one place. It's just as dangerous in here then it is out there... And there might be other people out there like Eve... Scared and defenseless. People who need our help just as bad as we need theirs. Now c'mon we're going." said Wes. They left the room and continued walking. "Wes." said Eve pointing at across the hall.

"What is it?" he asked.

"I think I see an exit." said Eve. She was pointing the lobby. They slowly walk towards the lobby looking left and right as they walk. "Stay right here." said Wes as he walked to the lobby door.

"I wouldn't touch that if I were you...It's electrified." a man said from the corner of the lobby. He walked towards Wes with a women beside him. Wes turned around towards them. "How would you know?" asked Wes.

"You see that man behind that chair over there? He didn't listen." he answered pointing out the body of a the dead man in the corner. Wes noticed that the man was stabbed in the chest. "So you killed him?" asked Wes.

"No... But it did leave him unconscious for a moment. Someone else did the job. There's no blood on my hands...Yet..I didn't your name..Devon" he said extending his hand towards Wes.

"Wes.." he said shaking Devon's hand.

"I'm Natasha." Said the women beside Devon as she shook Wes' hand. Wes waved his hand towards Maya and Eve letting them know that it was okay to come. "Shit...Those motherfuckers kidnapped a kid!" said Devon when he saw Maya and Eve. They introduced themselves to each other.

"There has to be a way out of here." said Wes.

"Well we can't just leave we got to find whoever did this first." said Natasha.

"Yeah, she's right. These explosives they've put on us might go off the second we leave the building." added Devon.

"So what do you think we should do?" Wes asked.

"Stick together and survive. We'll let them kill each other once its less crowded we can start looking for whoever did this." answered Devon.

"That's a nice plan...Too bad you'll be dead soon" said a large man covered in blood. He carried a large ax with him. He walked towards the group. Maya and Natasha took Eve to the corner. The man swung the ax at Devon but missed by a few inches. Wes rushed at him trying to take him down. The man grabbed him with one hand and slammed him over the wooden table. "Oh shit.." said Devon as walked backwards against the wall. The man swung the ax again but missed. The ax was stuck on the wall. Devon tried to run way but the man grabbed him by his neck and pinned him against the wall.

"Where do you think you're going.." he said. He tightened the grip on his neck nearly killing him. Natasha and Maya jumped on his back clawing at his eyes. He let go of his grip on Devon's neck and fell to his knees. Devon grabbed the ax and was getting ready to decapitate the man. "Stop!!" said a women from the other side of the room. She had her arms wrapped around Eve's neck. "I'll kill her.." she said with tears dripping down her cheek.

"What do you want?" asked Maya.

"Him for the girl." she answered as she walked closer to them.

"Alright we can do that just don't hurt her." said Maya. Wes got back on his feet without the women noticing. "On three.." said the women, "One...two..th..." Wes stuck a sharp shard of glass in skull killing her. The large man began to scream loudly. "Run!" said Wes. The group scattered away from the bad as his head exploded.
