How it works

So, here we are....

IN PAIRING SYSTEM:

You will be paired with your partner and you'll be in that partnership until one of your stories are finished.

You will be paired in groups under one of our admins. And after you done your assignments you have to go back to the chapter where your assignments are given and comment 'Done reading 'Book name' chapter 1-3 (or which chapters you've read mention it) by @Your partner name' then tag your assigned admin.

Remember to tag your admin and your partner. But you will not have to tag them in your comments.

You will have to use the tag '#MBC' or '#MayhemBC' or '#MayhemBookClub' in your comments.

IN EXCHANGE SYSTEM:

We will update a list where every active members and their book's summaries will be updated. You will have to check whichever book you want to read.

There will be another page with the members' names and their books where you will put a request to them.

Example of the list:

Author: MichelleManisha
Book: How to kill a vampire
Genre: Humor/vampire
Chapters: 25 including prologue and epilogue (completed)
Mature: Yes (slang and a little blood)
LGBT: no
Blurb: An assassin mistakenly went to a place where vampires exist and was captured by a vampire. How will she escape from her cruel captor who was also a sinister prince?
Preference: any genres
Dislike: nothing

Request should be specific or you can mention what things you liked about the blurb. But remember to tag your partner. If you don't tag them, they'll never know.

Example: Hey, LexiMoonsong would you like to exchange chapter 1-5 of your book 'Slashed' with 1-5 chapters of my book 'How to kill a vampire'?

If other author does not reply, we will remove the request in three days. If they accept, you both can start your reading.

Remember to start reading after your partner agrees to exchange. They can turn down your request.

The exchange system is a free system so, don't take it personally.

After you request you will report it in your Query and put it 'Requested @author name to exchange 3-5 chapters of her book 'Book name'

Example of Query:

Requested LexiMoonsong to exchange 1-5 chapters of her book 'Slashed'

You have two requests in whole month. If one partner turns down, you'll still have two requests. If they agrees, you'll have one request left.

However, if you wish to do more exchanges you can after you complete your previous two exchanges.

After finishing their book, you will come back to the page where you have the list and comment 'Finished reading chapter 1-5(mention the chapters) of book 'book name' by @your partner name'

Maybe it's confusing and overwhelming. But believe me it's not. After you understand how its work, it'll be a lot easier. So don't afraid to ask. We will always guide you.
