You needed to tell them. The voice in your head, how it triggers your entire body into doing some cool shits. You have been hiding this secret for almost a few weeks now, ever since the voice appeared. What if they think you're betraying them because you kept it as a secret?
Nah, they probably won't. After all, the boys were understanding.
In the dining room, you devoured the juicy yet tender steak cooked by Chef Jin while multiple thoughts were running in your mind, not noticing you were poking the steak with your fork here and there.
"Y/N, is there something wrong?" Namjoon asked and everyone turned their heads towards you out of concern. You snapped out of your world and stopped poking the poor steak. Lowering your head, you thought, should you tell them now?
You bit your lower lip out of anxiousness. Hoseok who was beside you and not turning his gaze away from you, said worriedly, "You can tell us if there's anything wrong, Y/N." He placed his hand on top of yours, transferring a bit of warmth to you.
"I... have something important to tell you all," Your hands grabbed onto the side of your chair as you stared at every single person in the room solemnly. All of a sudden, they all tensed up as they waited for you to say something.
Clearing your throat, you decided to get right into the point, "Actually... I have been hearing this voice for a few weeks. They occasionally appear but not that much these days." Just like that, everyone eyes sparkled with interest.
You proceeded, "The voice encouraged me to use my full power whenever I was in danger. And if I remember, once they said along the lines of, I'm your real mother? Her hair and eyes were the same colour as mine."
The boys were left speechless at your story. Namjoon immediately asked a question, "Did she say anything more?" You paused for a moment and tried to remember what the woman told you. After a while, you shook your head, stating, "Nothing important, she mostly encourages me."
Namjoon nodded and interrogated you more, like a detective as he took in all the information you could give him. The other boys knew what was up from the part you started to requote the woman's words.
"Well, Y/N I need you to calm down because what I am going to say next is going to surprise you," Namjoon warned. You nodded and waited for what he had to say.
"The woman who you described, actually is-" Before he could get to the shocking part, you cut him off, "My real mother? Yeah, I know that." A Cheshire-like grin appeared on your face. Of course, you knew that! You weren't that dumb as you looked like, the boys were thinking too low of you. Tsk tsk tsk.
However, when you first found out the woman was your biological mother, you couldn't help but ask yourself why she left you. Your memories didn't contain any person that looks like her. Was she lying? But her looks, you resembled her so does that mean, you were an adopted child?
Namjoon gave you the are-you-kidding-me expression, can't believe he just wasted his precious time just for that. "Good that you know. Do you like, have any idea on who she is, leaving out the mother part."
You shook your head once again. You tried searching her on Google but noticed, you didn't know her name. So that plan failed in the end. Secondly, you tried finding books related to supernatural powers. At first, you were going to search up information about 'The Legendary'. However, nothing came up, the same as the supernatural powers.
Maybe, humans still didn't notice the existence of supernatural powers on Earth. You wished one day they would finally realise, heroes have been fighting evil just to protect everyone's safety.
It's quite funny, how last time you never believed in these supernatural stories, urban legends or fairytales. And now, ever since you started living in this house, weird things have been happening. You slowly started to believe, those ancient legends we once heard of in our childhood, such as the vampire king exists.
You could still remember the feeling of fear when you looked at him in the eyes. Your heart was beating uncontrollably due to the horror of seeing something or someone you never thought existed, standing right before your eyes.
Luckily, the voice just appeared at the right time, saving the boys and you from the disaster. However, that day was unforgettable. It was like that incident just happened recently. Therefore, that specific day will haunt your life forever, be it in the future or present.
Anyways, back to the conversation. Namjoon explained clearly, not leaving a single part, "Your REAL mother, she was a great and amazing woman who fought for justice and peace though she wasn't a 'legendary'. You can say that she was powerless. When she fought, she only depended on her physical abilities. Unlike your father, he could use telekinesis."
He continued, "The both of them fought as a pair but was never known to the public as they didn't like being in the spotlight. Moving on, one day, she was pregnant with a baby. Sadly, both of them were involved in a fire, and only the baby survived. It was a miracle, they said. The baby wasn't injured one bit. It seemed like the flames didn't even touch the baby. And that baby was Y/N L/N."
You let out a shaky breath when Namjoon finally ended the story. Your real, biological parents, though you never met them before, hearing that they passed away in a fire incident made tears welled up in your eyes.
Suddenly, you felt someone's presence behind you. Slowly, you turned your back and saw a woman with (h/c) hair, smiling right at you. Your heart rate increased as you could only stare at the woman, frozen in spot.
"M-Mom...?" You managed to utter out. Then, her hands reached out to caress your cheek, tears already dried. "Dear, don't cry. I love you, don't cry please," She repeated, staring softly at you, giving off a motherly vibe.
You tried touching her arm, but just as you expected, your hand went through her arm since she was already a dead spirit. How you wished this moment would last forever, but she slowly began to disappear. Her smile remained on her lips as she mouthed, "I'll see you again, dear."
You stared as she vanished completely into thin air.
"Y/N SNAP OUT OF IT!" Hoseok shouted so loudly that even the neighbours could hear. You blinked your eyes and realised it was just a vision. Or maybe not. Though you hoped it was real. You just saw your biological mother for the first time and spoke to her.
All of a sudden, your vision started to become blurry and before you could say anything about it, you collapsed in Hoseok's arms.
