Jahlil POV
Im currently in the kitchen making breakfast. I'm still pretty shook about what Malachi said last night.
Did he really mean it?
Was it just pillow talk?
Am I ready for that yet?
I love Malachi with everything that I have but marriage is a big deal. We're so young.
"Morning Jah" D'chenne comes in the kitchen with a smile on his face.
"What's got you so happy?" I smirk.
"Yo bestfriend." He smirks back.
I hear soft cries and let out a sigh. I really wanted to finish breakfast.
"I'll get them. They probably wanna spend some time with they favorite uncle." D'chenne gets up and goes in the directions of the twins' room.
"Morning beautiful." I hear behind me.
"Good morning." I smile. Feeling him close to me always makes me happy.
"I don't hear crying. Should I be
worried?" He raises a brow.
"No D'chenne's watching them." I stop the eggs and put them on a plate before turning around and wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I love you." He kisses me quickly.
I feel my cheeks heat up. Still!?
"I love you too."
"Aw I love you guys too" D'chenne comes in smiling holding a twin in each arm.
Idiot.
I grab Mel and Malachi grabs siah. We each sit at the table with them in our laps as we eat.
Mel looks up at me and just stares.
I can't help but smile feeling my eyes water. My daughter. I have a daughter. And a son. I have a family.
"So about last night." Malachi speaks up.
I look over to see D'chenne gone.
"Yea it was good." I say trying to sway the conversation from what I thought was about to be said.
"You know that's not what I'm talking about. I felt you tense up when I said it." He looks at me seriously.
"I was- You were what, Jahlil?" He cuts me off.
"You know what forget it. It's whatever. I don't know why I expected anything. Not from you anyway." He gets up carrying siah and walks out of the kitchen.
I look down at Mel to see her staring up at me.
She looks just like him. I get up and head to our room. On the way I see the door to the twins room cracked and I look inside.
"I don't understand lil man. Yo Mamá so confusing." He whispers to messiah before kissing his head.
"Can we talk?" I ask making my presence known.
He places messiah inside his crib and turns on his white noise. I do the same to Melody and we both head to our room.
Once we get inside I sit on the bed and pat the side next to me.
"Listen Malachi, Im so sorry if I made you feel confused or like I don't want a future with you because I do. But marriage? Malachi we're 19. Who get married at our age?" I make my point.
"Who has twins at our age? Who lives together at our age? Who has family breakfasts and little picnics with their kids at our age, huh Jahlil?" He protests.
"You're just making excuses. I don't understand you. I really don't. As soon as I question something about u or the future you're ready to back out but whenever I make steps towards it you deny it. Jahlil if we can even converse about our future then maybe we don't have one." He lets out a huge breath once he's done.
He's been holding this in for a long time.
"Baby we do have a future." I whisper feeling the tears fall form my eyes.
Stupid ass postpartum hormones.
"I wanna marry you and get a place of our own and extend our family and all of that great stuff. I want you forever and im so sorry if I've ever made you feel any different. I love you Malachi. I'll always love you." I grab his hand.
"I love you too." He smiles softly.
"You wanna marry me?" He chuckles.
"Yes. I wanna marry you." I say surely.
"But I need a ring and a grand gesture when you ask." I point a finger at him so he knows I'm serious.
"I got you baby" he kisses me softly.
"BITCHESSSSSS!!!!!" I here from downstairs. Ain't nobody but Gianni stupid ass.
We walk down together and see Gianni holding Mel and D'chenne holding siah.
Hell nah I know these bitches ain't trynna play house with my kids.
"What the hell y'all got going on. Lookin like you just had an serious ass conversation." She tilts her head.
"Nothing just talking about the future." Mac wraps his arm around my shoulder.
"Yea, the future." I look off to the side.
Hellooooooo bitchessssss!!!! I really didn't like this chapter I was kinda rushing and I just wasn't feeling it. Next one will be better I promise.
