Kaminari and Uraraka crept down the hall. Beside them, an icicle fell and crashed to the ground, making Uraraka jump. The frigid air turned their breath into fog, coming out in rapid bursts.

Why couldn't have Kaminari just stayed at home...?

"Kaminari, Uraraka. Your job is to rescue a girl by the name of Nakatari Matsutoya being held captive in the Ice Cave. Then, you will bring her back to U.A. and she will become a transfer student here. She has a powerful quirk and we need to train her to become a hero before the villain keeping her hostage converts her to villainy. This villain goes by the name 'Kalayavan.' Now go on, you two, I have a nap to get to and I'm not all that concerned about what will happen. I'm sure you two will have it under control.", Aizawa had muttered in his deadpan tired voice.

A girl, huh? It had been 2 months since Jirou broke up with Kaminari. Maybe he could start fresh. He smacked face first into an ice door, lost in thought.

"Man," he groaned, rubbing his bruised forehead while Uraraka looked over in confusion.

Kala...Kava...how do you pronounce that, not to mention spell it? As Kaminari was sadly not the brightest in his class, the mere mention of that villain's name got his head spinning. Why couldn't he have chosen a simpler name instead of being a massive edgelord?

Urarka huffed, stooping down to examine something on the floor. "Hey, Kaminari, I found something.....interesting here."

"Eh?" Kaminari shrugged. "It's about time - it feels like we've been walking in circles."

"That's my point. I've felt the same way too, so I started to examine our surroundings. Come over here."

This interested Kaminari, since he wanted to get back to somewhere warm ASAP. Stepping behind his friend, he peered at what looked like a scratch mark on the floor.

Humming in confusion, the dense blonde put his fingers on his chin in a thinking motion. "Yeah, that's.....pretty interesting. Hm."

"You really don't get it, do you?" Uraraka stood up and sighed, a small exasperated giggle passing her lips. Kaminari guessed the cold was getting to her normally cheerful self as well. "We've passed this one particular mark twice. I recognize the way the scratches go perpendicular to one another. I can't possibly be mistaken."

"So you're saying we HAVE been going around in circles?"

"Mhm. And I've also figured this out."

Kicking her foot out, she leaned over and scratched at the icy floor with her own nails(which made a god awful noise). Moving away from the mark, she stood back with a look of satisfaction on her face. Kaminari could see that she'd scratched a circle around the perpendicular marks. Then it hit him - Kaminari had seen this symbol all over the cave. Why hadn't it been obvious?

Laughing, Kaminari stood up alongside his friend. "That's smart - what would I do without you? But, uh, nothing ha-"

A loud screech filled the hall, echoing loudly and shaking the structure enough to knock off more icicles. The floor opened up with an earsplitting crack, and the two heroes fell into the abyss.

The room was pitch dark except for a dim light shining over a girl. She was kneeling on the floor, adorned with a sea blue dress that fell gracefully beside her lap. She didn't seem to notice the pair. The girl was beautiful, with a pale face and quivering dark lips. Kaminari's breath caught in his throat. This was Nakatari? Uraraka let out a tiny gasp. It seemed like time stood still. No one moved.

A shadow rose from behind Nakatari. The girl inhaled sharply, now acknowledging the presence of the two...and another presence.

"What," the man drawled, stepping out of the dark, "is up?"
