Journey to Atlantis.

Part 1

Charlie was getting ready for school. His mom was in hurry packing his tiffin box. His school bus was waiting for him at the stop. It was the day Charlie was eagerly waiting for. He had a cricket match that day. Winning the match could get him into state level entry. As expected, his match went fabulous but he didn't get selected in state level team. He was too disheartened to hear this. After school, he went to warm lake. He just wanted to stay alone. After half an hour, he saw a letter kept beside him. The letter was addressed to him from an anonymous person. He opened the letter and saw that it was an invitation. He was invited to a competition where if he wins, he will get a cricket kit and a tour to new york. He became happy seeing this and went to the address written in the letter. He stood outside the house for a min staring at it and then finally opened the door. It was dark inside. He couldn't see anything. As he went inside and asked if anyone was there, the door got closed and locked. He tried a lot to open the door but couldn't get out of it. He asked who was doing this but got no response. Suddenly he realized that the floor was completely wet everywhere. He switched on the torch of his phone to look around. All the rooms were wet completely but the furniture looked old, too old. There were spider webs everywhere. He moved forward and saw water droplets dripping from kitchen's tap. He went towards it to close it. When he tried to tighten the tap, it broke. Water rushed out of it heavily. He got panicked and tried to stop the water flow. While he was looking around for any object, the water stopped splashing out all of a sudden. He went out of the kitchen and tried to open the main door. But the door was jammed. When he pulled the door with full efforts, the handle came off and he fell on the floor splashing water everywhere. He threw the handle at the door angrily. He sat down there thinking he can never go out of this house again when he heard a man's voice. The voice came out from a big box which was locked. He went near to it and stood there. The man's voice spoke and said," My child, life is all about adventure. Every moment can turn into a adventure. If you want something, you have to work hard for it. " After this the voice paused for few seconds and said again," You came here by your choice and now will go by our choice. Task is very simple. You have to discover something which others failed to. If you win, you will go back to your home with your selection in the team as a reward. But if you lose, then................bwahahahaha". Charlie went to other rooms to search if he could get something. He opened the cupboard and so many skeletons fell on him. Skeletons terrified him severely. He rushed to hall and tried to break open the box. He bought a hammer and started breaking the box. After a lot of efforts, he broke it and saw nothing inside it but a folded paper. He opened it and found that it was a map. The map showed his position as the starting point of his adventure. He followed the map and went to a room where he couldn't go further because he needed to find a door to continue his journey. He searched everywhere for the door or clue but failed. Then he was going back to hall when he tripped and fell down. He saw something bulging out of the carpet. When he removed it, he found the door. He opened it and followed the map with the instructions written in it. The path behind those doors took him in an underground canal. He was following the map when he heard some voice. Something was coming towards him. He couldn't guess what it was. It was a flood! He ran in opposite direction to save himself and fell into a deep hole by mistake. The place was dark and horrifying. There were steps made on the wall as if made for walking up and down. He tried to climb up the stairs. But before he could do so, someone hit his head from behind and he fainted. When he woke up, he was in an island. He had no idea how he came here. There was a man standing near the shores. He went near to him and asked him who he was. He said he was his adventure guide. He asked him if he could help him to guide the map and he said he had come to him to help him. The man took him into a room. They sat in a weird vehicle and it took them deep into the sea. After a long journey, finally they reached their destination. He was unaware of that place. The man with him went out and started searching for something on the sea bed. Charlie found this strange as how could that man breathe in water! He came out of the vehicle and strangely even he could breathe! He asked the man how was this possible and he said," Welcome to Atlantis ! Atlantis was famous for it's pristine and pure environment. People living here had crystal clear heart. Atlantis was above all other nations. One day, king of Africa and Egypt came with a proposal to make a bond with Atlantis. Our king accepted the proposal thinking the benefits of all but with time, they showed their true colours and tried to capture Atlantis. The war continued for years. Our king was attacked to death many times but was saved at the cost of a loyal Atlantian. Our king was too disheartened to see this so he thought of giving the Atlantis in their hands. Before he could reach out to them, they exploded Atlantis and this island sank into the sea. Atlantis did not have any prince. Our king had made a system through which the island could rise up back if drowned. But this system could only start with a password entered by anybody other than our king. Whoever came here lost due to various reasons. You are the next participant. The map is with you. Each time you can see only one map. This map shows you your current path and obstacles. You cannot see the map that will come later. Obstacles can come anytime and from anywhere. You cannot quit. I will be waiting for you infront of the next gate. All the best!", and he disappeared. Charlie was in a great shock. He had a big gate infront of him. There were statues everywhere. The view of Atlantis was mesmerizing but the obstacles were too scary. He entered the gate and went ahead. There were various different sea organisms there. He was too afraid to touch anyone. Now he was infront of the palace. He went inside it. It was totally dark. But then the lanternfishes lighted up the palace. There were beautiful pillars with paintings encrypted on it. There were ships and planes too inside it! He looked into the map. His aim was to find a key at last which will help him open the door to that switch which will bring back Atlantis to the world. His aim at this map was to find a metallic block which was different from all. It will be very small but will be very heavy. He searched for it in the entire palace but failed to find it. He found a bright shiny sword behind the ship. As he took it out, a shark came of the ship. He was too frightened to see him. He gained confidence from the sword and stood silent. The shark within no time came towards him to eat him up but he moved away. While they were fighting, charlie got a cut from the broken window. He was bleeding now. Bearing this pain, he got angry and stabbed the shark with the sword. The shark vanished and a metallic block was lying on the floor. It was very heavy but very small too. He somehow took it with him and went out of the palace. The guide was waiting for him outside. He took charlie to his next destination. It was the battle field of the palace. His map showed him his next aim. It said he needs to find an axe which will have a stamp at the bottom and also will not be useful to anyone. He went inside the battle field. His hand was still bleeding. Seeing the blood, a whale came out from behind and was about to swallow him up when he turned and kept the metallic block inside his mouth. The block was too heavy for the whale. He could not lift himself up. Charlie didn't have any weapon to kill him so he was searching something around. The whale was trying hard to remove the block. In the meantime, charlie found an anchor lying there. He took it up and threw it on whale's eye. He threw it on both the eyes one by one. His eyes were destroyed now. But still he had not completed his goal. He searched for the axe everywhere but couldn't find it. Finally he thought what if the axe is inside the whale! He was sure that the whale cannot close his mouth so he went inside his mouth but came out in seconds as it was dark inside and he could not see anything. There were no lanternfish nearby which could help him up. So he went inside slowly and started searching by tapping his hands everywhere just like a blind man searches his stick. After going a lot inside, he found two axe. He came out with both of them. Both of them had stamps at the bottom. He could not understand which one is the right one. While he was thinking about this, a large crocodile came towards him from behind. He threw one of the ace at him but nothing happened to him. The axe hut him and fell there. He holded the second axe tightly and chopped him up at the first shot. Missing this chance could have killed Charlie for sure. He took a deep breathe and then remembered that he needed an axe which is not useful to anyone. He remembered that the first axe was of no use to him. He went and took the first axe and came out of the battle field. The guide was waiting outside for him. The map showed him the last page of his adventure. He was confirmed that now he is going to get the keys. The guide took him to the last stage. Now he had to face a giant octopus. He was so big that 10 ships would easily fit inside him. Charlie had lost his confidence of winning against him. Before entering the place, he looked into the map and it said ' use the brain to get the key. '. He went inside and started fighting with him. Within 5 minutes, the octopus threw him away. He without giving up went again and waited for him to come to attack him. The moment he came, Charlie chopped the octopus's hands one by one. At last, being severely injured, Charlie chopped his final hand. Octopus accepted his defeat but didn't tell him about the keys and he died. He used his brain but didn't get the key or any clue. After a long time, he got angry and chopped the octopus's head. His brain fell outside and it had the key in it. He happily took the key outside. The guide congratulated him and took him to the final door. Hey inserted the key and opened it. Guide told him the password and disappeared suddenly. Charlie searched him everywhere but couldn't find him. Then charlie put the password and pressed the switch. After few seconds, he felt tremors! The land was vibrating. He was getting lifted upwards along with the land and the palace! The Atlantis was finally out! He went inside the palace again and saw the paintings on the walls. He was shocked to see that the guide who was with him all the time in his adventure was actually the king of Atlantis! He couldn't accept that he was with a pure soul till now. His overthinking made him go out of conscious. When he woke up, he was in his house. His mom hugged him for his selection in the team. He kept the secret of this adventure to himself.
