"Lixue, promise you'll tell me if it happens again"
"I promise Sungie, besides! I haven't seen him since the party, I've pretty much forgotten about it"
And he did, until that very moment. He froze in his tracks, heart rate increasing as the memories from two weeks ago came flooding into his mind. He involuntarily lost his grip, sending the half empty milk carton tumbling to the ground, earning the attention of the elders standing not too far away from him. His eyes widened as he unconsciously began to step backwards before turning around and running in the opposite direction.
"Felix wait!!" Changbin yelled, expecting the boy to stop, but he didn't. Felix kept running, he didn't want to face The older after that night. He thought he could get away, he thought he would be safe... that is until he felt arms around him.
"Let me go!!" He whined as the two men basically carried him over to Changbin and the others. They were hurting him and he wanted them to stop.
"L-let me go.. Aghh" He whimpered.
"Let him go. Now." Changbin glared at the two boys and they let Felix go. The small boy looked at his feet, too scared to look at the others.
"Felix, look at me" Changbin growled. Felix shook his head and continued to look at his feet. Changbin was getting quite annoyed.
"Look. At. Me." He said, almost in a yell. He was about to yell at the boy when he heard small sniffles. His face softened as he stepped closer to the boy, resting a hand on his shoulder.
"Please.." He whispered softly. The younger finally lifted his head up, locking eyes with Changbin.
"W-what do y-you want from me..?" He asked in between sobs. Changbin felt a wave of guilt take over him, he couldn't forgive himself for what happened that night and it was tearing him apart.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Felix" he whispered as he hugged the younger. The others were obviously confused and decided to just leave the two alone, quietly walking away from the scene. The younger was a bit shocked at first, and not completely sure if he should trust the other. Changbin, was also confused and didn't know what got into him. The older pulled away, looking everywhere but at Felix.
"I just wanted to tell you that.. uh, I didn't mean to hurt you and uh... I was wondering if we could..." He paused, sighing as he didn't quite know what to say. "C-can we start over?" He mentally cursed himself for stuttering. There was silence for a moment, Changbin took a sharp breath, looking at the ground, knowing it wouldn't be that easy. He was surprised when the younger smiled slightly, slowly nodding his head. He chuckled "Well.. I guess I'll see you around" He smiled, ruffling the boys hair before jogging off to find his friends.
That night Felix walked home smiling brightly, feeling relaxed, happy and overall relieved. The small boy waddled out of his bedroom, in his onesie and flopped down onto the soft cushions of his couch before taking out his phone. He noticed he had a DM request on Instagram and decided to check it.
'Now that we're on good terms...
you need to stay away from me, I don't want
To put you in any danger, you'll be safer if we never
See eachother again.'Felix frowned at the message, rereading it several times before throwing his phone on the table, slightly flinching and the noise it made. 'What does that even mean??' 'Danger? What kind of danger?!' 'But I want to see him again!' With all these thoughts running through the boys mind, before he knew it he had drifted off to sleep.
