The Colonies Air penetrated through the thick smoke that had bundled through the drawing room. Crickets chirped a sweet symphony while the sun slowly descended upon its daily journey. The well detailed pipe laid comfortably upon his lips while he rocked. The kids that had been playing rambunctiously in the front yard were now lying comfortably against each other as the elder hummed. His Book long forgotten while his eyes fluttered. A yawn broke the comfortable silence, as blue eyes looked around the old room. The elder gentleman looked up from the ground to watch the younger kid climb into his lap.
"America, are you tired?"
America only shook his head and huffed, his brother looked up from his spot on the ground. "America , can we go to sleep pleeease?" begged the brother, but America only huffed and pouted. "wanna hear a story.." America whined, placing both arms in front, "One with heroes! Oh! And Villains'! Also maybe a damsel in distress!"
"But America, it's Late!" Canada was determined to go to sleep. He could go to sleep now, but he wasn't going to let America's grumpiness from lack of sleep hinder his morning. "No! I need to hear this story! I might have nightmares from creepy things like Wendigos!"
"What are Wendigos?" The British male asked, Canada's eyes widened. "No! No! Not those! Dont ruin sleep for me Al!" The Canadian cried. America rubbed his hands together mischievously. "Okay-okay, so I heard this from the natives, so long ago there was a-" "Okay, America although i would love to hear your story I don't want Canada to die of horror." A series of yes, and eww followed. "I think, America, that if I do a hero story and do a love story for Canada that it would be Square, Yes?" The American pleaded with his eyes to not do it, but was countered with a harsh glare. "Besides I know this story like the back of my brain conjured it every day." He got weird stares.
"Canada be a dear and light the candles, we will be burning midnight oil tonight." The small Canadian nodded. "America go get snacks, and tea please." America made a face and stumbled into the kitchen. When pillows were poofed and food and lights were assessed. The Elder man began.
"Lets see how I begin this?"
"With a Soldier! In the heat of battle-" "No! How about in a village with a wealthy merchant-" "That sounds lame!" "Quiet you two!" the British man barked. He sipped his tea and looked at the fields.( Hmm.. how about...)
