New school year, new people, new classrooms, and hopefully new friends. Hi! I'm Ida Carlton, and I'm about to start my second year of high school, this should be a whole lot of fun.
"No way! I can't believe you got transferred into A class this year, your going to be leaving us all behind!" That was one of my best friends Abbie.
"I know right! She's totally leaving us behind."
"Totally." Agree my other two friends, Hanna and Merry. "Your going to miss us aren't you?" Continues Hanna
"Of course I am." I assure them. If your wondering what they are talking about; they mean the fact I got upgraded from B class (which is where I spent my first year of high school) to A class because of my grades on last years final exams, which also means I won't be seeing my friends in B class much any more.
As we reach the schools front entrance we're stoped by a small crowed and some cheering. We go around the crowed to see what's going on, they were all circled around a tree and someone getting a kite and a cat down from it, and of course it's Hera Alto.
Hera is also a second year here, and there's just something about her that I can't stand. She's probably the smartest kid out of all the second years and Maybe even the whole school, not to mention she's some sort of witching prodigy, only in her second year of high school and she's already mastered flying -and without a broom to!- there's that and also she's not exactly well-behaved, I mean she's cocky, and pretty arrogant, she sometimes talks back to the teachers saying their wrong, and sometimes she can say the rudest things! Not to me of corse I'm pretty sure she doesn't even know I exist, almost all the kids in school adore her, even some of the first years too apparently, I honestly have no clue why she's so popular
"Oh please the only reason she's so good is because here parents are like super rich." Says Merry, "I bet she's been trained by professional Witches and Warlocks since she was in diapers."
"Ugh, and now you'll have to be in the same class her." Hanna points out.
"Yea I kinda feel sorry for you now." Abbie continues.
I know it's not exactly nice but me, Abbie, Hanna, and Merry all can't stand her in a kinda-not-so-nice way our mutual dislike for her brings us a little closer.
"Come on guys, she's not that bad." Percy comes up behind us saying, "If you actually take time to get to know her she's pretty cool."
Percy is another one of my friends, he's also in class A so thanks to him I won't be totally alone, but unlike us he's actually friends with Hera. I can't understand why a nice guy like him would want to be friends with someone like her.
"Yea yea, sure." Merry roles her eyes. RING!!!
"Well there's the bell, come on Ida let's go to class, see the rest of you later." Percy waves by to the others and I go along and catch up.
When we get there I'm a little bit shy to go in, everyone there knows each other, I'm not much of a social person but at least I had more then one friend in B class.
"Everyone please find your assigned seats." My new teacher Mrs. Kelong instructs. I quickly look at the board where she had written out where we all sit. I find my seat, it's next to the window which is nice, but unfortunately it's in the second last row. I get seated and take out my stuff and as the teacher was just about to say something when the door opens and in walks Hara.
"Late on the first day, miss Alto. Do try better tomorrow." Mrs Kelong says.
"Sorry 'mam I was saying bye to my sister out front." Apologizes Hera.
"Very well, your off the hook." The teacher responds, "Go find your seat and pay attention now."
Hera nods and looks at the board, then -to my dismay- starts walking in my direction, I know for a fact that this is my seat, I double checked, and all the other seats in front of me and the row next to me are all filled up, the only seat that's empty is the one behind me, which means.... Hera passes me and sits down in the chair behind be and takes out a note book and a pencil.
"Now let us begin."
