Chapter.2 (Hera's POV)

As I look at the board to see where my seat is this year I notice that I'm right behind that girl -what's her name- who got upgraded to class A this year. That's cool and all but I bet she's a bit lonely not knowing anyone here. My good friend Percy waves a silent hello to me and I wave back, I like Percy -as a friend of course- he's super understanding and I never have to explain myself to him, he just gets me. I get to sit next to the window again this year, it's such a nice day out to, being honest I'd rather be playing outside then be cooped up in here all day.
I look back at the board to see what the teacher is writing on it but, hooray for me, the new-but-not-new girl is a bit taller then I am and is leaning slightly so I can't see half the board! I'm about to ask her to lean the other way when the teacher turns around and asks,
"Anybody know the answer to this question? Hera you must know this."
I lean over to see what the question is on the board and the teacher goes and says,
"Hera I expected better of you, learn to pay attention on class." Some of the other kids giggle "Classic Hera" I hear someone say.

"Sorry miss," I explain, "I couldn't see the board where you were writing."
Was it just me or did I just hear the new-ish girl nervously swallow and star to sweet? Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
"Well you've seen it now, so what is the answer?" The teacher continues.

I look again and I see it's just a simple maths equation, "93 ma'am." I answer. The teacher confirms I'm right. Of corse.
The day goes on and class seems to pretty much suck the life out of everyone in class, well everyone except Ida (I've finally remembered her name) who seems to be slightly more alive then before, not as pale and shaky.

After class was done and school was finished -finally- I see Ida meet up with some B class kids, then I see Percy go up to them as well, I guess there all friends, (not that that's surprising, Percy has a lot of friends.) I feel like I should go over there and apologize to Ida but don't want to bother her so I just float up to the near by tree and look at the pretty flowers on the top, I've always thought trees were prettier from above. I've always been good at magic I don't know why, although I bet everyone thinks it's because my parents are pretty wealthy, not that they've ever given me the time of day, I'm sure they wouldn't even notice if I couldn't use magic at all, let alone hire me a teacher.
"Hey Hera! Come down for a sec." I hear Percy call, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I look down and see Percy standing with Ida, I guess the other kids left and Ida doesn't look like she really wants to be here.
"What's up Percy." I say as a hello to him while I come down.

"Nothing much, I was just wondering if you were going to go to the party George is having this weekend." Percy states with Ida by his side.

"What party?" I ask as I have no clue what he's talking about.

"The party that everyone in A class got a text about," he says handing my my phone, "You have got to stop leaving it every where or someone's going to take it, and I don't think your minimum wage salary is going to get you a new one so quick."
I laugh, because he's right of course, I don't get paid very much. Although I laugh a little more because Ida looks confused as heck, but I'm sure most people would be if they knew about my family. I check my messages and see the party information.
"So you coming then? I'm dragging Ida along, we should hang out there." Continues Percy.
"Yea, sure. Sounds fun!" I agree, although I can see Ida trying to hide a bit of disappointment. "I'll see you there."
