I walk into maths and I see the instant stares. I get the occasional sympathy but I just knock it away. I sit down and my friend asks what happened and I just say "ah you know just had a fight with some guy trying to take my money" we both laugh and I then say "no I'm just joking, I tripped over and hit my eye on the bed post" and he replies "ok, it must've been one hard bed post" and we both laugh again. I'm quite surprised actually, one of my good friends thinks I hit my eye on a bed post and yet steph, a girl I hardly know, can figure out that something worse had happened. After two periods of math I start getting massive headaches and ask to go to the office. The teacher originally said no, but I then convinced her. As I'm walking to the office I nearly pass out, my head is pounding, my vision is blurred and I can't think straight. As soon as I get in the office I ask to go home, they ring my home phone and of course, no one answers so I get them to call my nan and she answers straight away. She tells them that she'll be there in five minutes to pick me up.

Five minutes later my nan walks into the office and tells them that she's here to pick me up. As I get up the lady says I need to sign something saying I'm leaving, so I do. As I get in the car my nan asks what happened to my eye and of course I say the same excuse I tell everyone. She then drops me off home and I give her a kiss goodbye. As she leaves I walk into the house and of course look who I find laying there, my dad, all he says is "hey" and continues to stare at the tv not even noticing what he had done to his son. My sister and my mum are sleeping I'm guessing because they're hungover, I poke my sister and all she does is let out a huge snore. I go into my bedroom and go to sleep for a couple hours.

I then wake up to a buzzing noise, I couldn't believe my eyes. Steph actually texted me. The text reads "hey, I hope you're alright. If you want we can talk about what happened with your eye". I send a text back saying "sure" and she instantly sends back "so what did happen to your eye?" And I reply the real story of what happened to my eye. She gives me the usual sympathy and says that she hopes I'm alright. We continue talking for hours on end learning about each other. By the time I say goodnight to her it's already three in the morning.

Every day for two weeks I did the usual routine but instead of going straight to bed at night I talked to steph, she knows a lot of things about me now. More than my sister knows about me, she just remembers my birthday which I gotta say is pretty surprising. But I like steph even more now, I just love her personality, her smile, her eyes and just her everything, but I'm too nervous to tell her how I feel though, but that's the thing, I'm never nervous. This is the first time a girl has made me nervous over telling her how I feel.

The next day I wake up and do my usual routine and leave. I arrive in the school gates with my friends and mess around for a bit but then go to roll call. I only just remember that I have maths first, this time I am going to tell steph how I really feel. I walk up to maths and line up and then see steph walking towards me, wow is all I can think. She looks more beautiful than ever, her curly brown hair is out and her smile could almost kill me (in a good way). I say to her "steph, I have something to tell you" and she says "go on". I say to her in a quiet tone "I have had feelings for you ever since you've started caring for me", I see her cheeks flush with red and she replies "I kinda like you too" and flashes me one of her beautiful smiles.
