Chapter 5: Meeting The Family

Haley POV

Immediately after my laughing fit was over. I turned and walked right out of the school. No one took it upon themselves to come after me. Good I thought, it's better they give me time to cool off before I do something I won't regret but will be in a hell of a lot of trouble for. Eh who cares right. Payback's a bitch and so am I so I guess we will be great friends. Don't you? On my way back to the school I see the gang looking for me with worried looks on their faces.

When I got there I asked, "What's up Doc?". They all laughed for like one second before embracing me into a bone crushing hug. Once they let go of me I asked them the one question I was dreading, "Is he staying? Is Ash staying?". They all gave me looks of pity answering my question without needing to say anything. I turned but someone caught my arm, "Where are you going?" asked Daniel. I said to them, "Home. Not the one you are all thinking of though." The all gave me questioning glances. I just shook my head at them because I can't tell them. Oh how I wanted to but...

Anyway as I walked back to the house to change I realized something I don't need to care what Ash wants or does it's none of my concern. When I get to the house, I head up to my room to change. Putting on black skinny jeans, a black crop top and combat boots, I take my gun from its hiding place and put it in my waistband. Leaving my serpent jacket on I head to the other side of town. Heading to the Black River I head across the street. When I open the door everyone turns to look at me.

After they see that it's me I'm engulfed in a giant hug everyone saying how I haven't come here in so long. After I tell them what happend they all said that they're with me no matter what and how that's the girl they raised because I managed to knock him out. You see the serpent jacket isn't just a jacket it's my gangs symbol on the back. We're called the Vipers but we called ourselves the serpents. They taught me everything I know they are like a family to me. Scratch that they are family.

After that a group of guys around my age come in, they looked so familiar. Then it clicked those were the guys from our group. I really hope they told the girls about their after school "activities". Oh shit they're not supposed yo know I'm in the gang. I quickly look for somewhere to hide, running there quickly and hiding. The sight I saw shocked me, everyone was in the gang except the girls of course but everyone, even Kayden I would have expected him to know about his brother. They come and greet the gang but none of them greet Kayden. He looks at them weirdly, guess they didn't know who he was until I told my story today.

The gang immediately looks around for me. When Johnny sees me I shake my head no at home telling him not to say anything about me and my whereabouts. The guys are also looking around then someone spots me as they take their guns out. I quickly move my foot realizing that is what they saw. After doing that I quickly shoot all of their guns out of their hands carefully making sure not to hurt them. They all look stunned that someone could have done that then then the gang starts laughing at their shocked and fearful expressions. Johnny then looks over at me and says, "Come out Hayles, I think you've scared them enough.". I sigh and cautiously walk out from behind my hiding spot. Taking in the guys even more shocked expressions I walk over to the older guys of the gang and tell them introductions aren't necessary since I know them.

"HI guys. What's up?", I say ti them. The all come running up to me and hug me except for.... you guessed it Kayden. I didn't expect him to any way. "It was you that shot our guns out of our hands?" they asked. I nod my head slowly in confirmation.

"Wow! I didn't know you were such a great shot." they say with a surprised expression. Well it's not like anyone really knows I mean I didn't tell anyone the only people who know are the gang and now the guys. I didn't say that though all I did was nod in confirmation.

After that, we all played some of the arcade games there, drank a little bit and ate some dinner. After my reunion with the guys, I went home. The moment I entered the house I knew I was in for it. My parents weren't home but the guys were here and the worst part, they brought Ash with them.
